To be fair while it wouldn’t be as ongoing it would still provoke them.
Some people on the Overwatch forums got real upset when a short story about Soldier 76 had him refer to an ex-boyfriend in a single throwaway line in a story that wasn’t about that at all.
I will be surprised if they address your post, because between your post and the Tweet specifically explaining the change in pronouns across both forms, it would prove them incorrect in their headcanon.
Players choose to act the way they do simply because others are different from them and exist, that’s a player problem and further than that a person behind the screen personal problem because someone else being different or existing isn’t an actual problem.

People can headcanon anything they want.
It’s when they try to present it as fact like this thread, when it contradicts established things, where it’s a problem.

Hello, I see you replied to the thread. Chromie is a fictional character and, quite frankly, if you are paying $15 a month to play, you have every right to call her whatever you want!
Thanks for your post and have a great day!

Not everyone that cares about LGBTQ+ issues is a troll. The constant troll threads on these forums have conditioned people to think that way and it’s a bit sad

Literally no.
First it’s a fictional Dragon whose feelings are not real, second he misgenders HIMSELF by your logic because he still uses his own male nomenclature name that was given to him at birth when referring to himself ever since Vanilla and hasn’t changed this even though it’s the easiest thing he could do, third unless Blizzard comes out and literally states that Chromie is transgender I’ll continue to believe what I will.
And finally, why should I listen to everyone telling me to refer to him as she/her when I see him as his true male Dragon self that I personally relate to as an intersex man who still identifies as male but doesn’t care at times whether I’m called a King or a Queen?

True but statistically speaking, 95% of them are trolls. The same troll, but still trolling
Omg, I remember a post about a soldier main saying he’s quitting the game because he’s gay.
A lot of people relate very personally and internalize themselves with the characters and mains they play and are completely cis gender. I wouldn’t blame anyone for suddenly feeling discomfort and dysphoria with this.

I’ll be frank, I haven’t read everything up to this point.
What’s going on with her?
Yeah, humans can DEFINITELY relate to playing taurens and orcs for sure.
100% what WoW was intended for.
I agree, I’m just saying the one forum troll on here probably wouldn’t be creating all these threads if blizzard didn’t put it into the game in the first place. Then yea you’re going to get threads like this just feeding off of it. I’m indifferent about all of it but the moderation certainly feels like if they banned them they would look like they’re against LGTBQ which is why they just leave all of these threads up and not delete them. I don’t think this is the place to even discusss any of this anyways, it’s a video game forum, for a fantasy game, in a fantasy world separate from earth.
I totally identify as an undead, yes, sure, doesn’t matter he’s Human so it works.
I was clearly referring to the emotional connection. Additionally I don’t even know how that had anything to do with Soldier 76 because he is in fact Human.

And you can still do that. I’ll relate to my dragon and make it how I’d like to look. But it being a dragon isn’t what’s going to keep me from doing that.
Of course you can relate to being (or wanting to be) a huge hulking muscular dude
It kind of is, you’re intended to play whatever draws you in and makes identify with the character you’re pretending to be
You must be very educated with the personal experience and emotional ties every other person has lumped together in a pot as the same. “It’s okay, you can do everything”. Do you say happiness is a choice too? Let me see if I can find the switch in my brain.

I think I remember that post. People are weird.
What’s funny were the people saying about how “the game didn’t need to get into that stuff” when it was entirely outside of the game and a good chunk of characters already have relationships in the game’s lore.

Are you incapable of identifying with your current character?
