I like your name. Very cheeki-breeki.
I don't like being a doomsayer...but when you spend millions of dollars to host a convention in the name of your own company, and you're booed...at your own convention...

Changes gotta be made, man.
They already relisted the Diablo video to reset the likes/dislikes and keep deleting top comments.

It's back at like 17 downvotes and 300 upvotes. So it's not like people are letting them get away with it.

That's what they're trying to do though.

Literally the worst Blizzcon ever. Being booed at your own event. Then condescending the crowd. "D-do you not have phones?" You guys got lucky the attendees didnt have your hides. Pathetic and disgusting.

Maybe the general public is right about video game players being adult children if this is apparently the reaction to seeing a game you dislike. Jesus, you guys act as if your dog was killed in front of you. Chill the frick out. These are video games. Hobbies. Forms of enjoyment. You don't have to pretend you'd kill someone for not making something you like.

Still there. They're smart enough to know the internet never forgets.

Edit: As a matter of fact, the newest video of gameplay footy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ab2-WW1skOM already has 65k dislikes lol

The one on the launcher is different now. It’s at 17k downvotes.
I take that back. They just de-listed the new video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5iajnrdSj1o&feature=youtu.be

Yep, pretty much. I feel really bad for the Diablo crowd right now. Truly.

What Blizzard is doing would be like Ferrari trying to sell you a car for the same price with a 1.5 liter 4 cylinder. Then when you say "Ferrari, is this a joke?" they respond with "Y-you don't care about MPG?!"
They'll just ask if we seriously don't have phones.
Is there a link to the boo'ing? I could use some release.
Lol everything is gone from the launcher...all videos and promos scrubbed

This argument shows up from people white knighting for Blizzard every time, and it's stupid every time

A rough analogy is you're reading a book series, author hypes up the next book in the series, even if you're not hoping for the MOON you expect it would be pretty good. And then he reveals the book, and it turns out he switched the genre from, say, horror to cutesy romance and is writing it for preteens, oh and it's just a boring copy of a dozen books that are already out there with some names switched.

So of course you boo and bash the guy and complain, because booing someone and venting a bit isn't some crazy reaction to a situation like this. And then someone comes up to you and says "Uh excuse me, but expressing frustration with events makes you a baby," in a transparent attempt to be as smug and self-superior as possible.

That's you. That's what you're doing.

That comment from that dev alone is meme worthy...on second thought, no it's not. That would be doing memes a severe injustice.

Do audiences usually get booed at instead?

I thought it was a decent blizzcon. I was actually more interested than usual.

Keep in mind, I really don't care about Diablo, knew it was being overhyped from the start, and was very happy about the Wc3 Remaster that I wasn't expecting.

Some people just need to temper their expectations better. Though again, i'm not a big Diablo fan.

author hypes up the next book in the series

I don't think that was actually happening. They had a bigger booth than normal. Fans hyped that. Blizzard said not to get that hyped. Fans got hyped anyway.

Also he outsourced it to some random guy down the street who wrote it for him.
Should have seen this coming last years con the reception was luke warm folks real disappointed with a lot of the announcements now its just obvious.
Seemed fine to me. Only bumps I saw were salty Diablo fans that hyped themselves up after being to told not to hype themselves up.
