It’s not about being better. You’re literally ignoring that engineering gets ABSOLUTELY NOTHING until T5 when goggles become irrelevant. But you’ve proven you don’t know anything about the gear already so that’s fine for you to be ignorant of the problem. I want engineering to be useful in literally ANY way to justify the outrageous cost of keeping it. Right no engineering is a dead profession in TBC Classic until Sunwell.
You didn’t fix anything and made a pointless update. Thanks for literally nothing of value added to the thread.
Ebon is not bis in t4 for either enhance or hunters. Thats flat out wrong. Primalstrike is not bis in t4 either.
I know the lw bracers are really good because of the healing plus dmg. But to act like its tailoring for anyone wearing leather or mail is just wrong.
I mean that’s fine that you believe that. The sims say otherwise.
No they really don’t. And this pretty basic. There’s literal memes on discord about asking about ebon/primalstrike.
And btw goggles/paranoia stack with perception. But your clearly not as informed as you seem to think so have fun with the ignorant echo chamber.
Yea people make memes about a lot of things. That doesn’t make it true. “Dur, your empirical evidence from sims and dps charts is invalid because I saw a meme on the forums.”
No its meme on discord where there’s been theorycrafting and sims showing your clueless.
Yea I’m sure. I bet all those hunters are going to get a ton of dps value from their T4 set bonus. That 10% mana cost reduction is certainly worth the 4 slots.
T4 loot not t4 set. Hunters use 4pc dungeon with off pieces from kara/gruul. THAT is the bis for t4 aka p1. I never said t4 set. Talking about the actual tier of raiding.
The lw set is a hypothetical pre raid bis quickly replaced and is NOT bis in phase 1. Period.
Sure whatever you want to say. You are right though that leatherworking is not tailoring, I will give you that. You’re wrong on just about everything else.
I also love how everyone whines about drums being useless when they are the SINGLE LARGEST BUFF FROM ANY PROFESSION. So much so it was basically a mandatory profession for top tier raiding. The tinnitus buff doesn’t change that, whining parses just want to be number one instead of doing anything for a group. And that mentality (and yours) is toxic.
Justice for Engineering.
And even if, EVEN IF we concede every wrong point you have made. You have the OPTION to have that gear made and wear it then replace it. Engineers can’t even make that choice.
It is BiS for hunters, it’s beastlord set and those legs. Hunters don’t even want T4. Because beastlord 4 set is so strong.
But hay, you do you, I don’t know what Sims your looking at, but I can tell you you are wrong.
Again I said t4 loot not t4 set. Hunter Bis (not pre raid) does NOT have lw items. Its 4pc dungeon with off pieces from Kara and gruuls. Lw doesn’t even make legs…what are you even saying.
Edit: beastlord is the dungeon set.
Edit 2: t4 is commonly referred to for Kara, mag, and gruul. I’m fully aware the tier 4 set sucks for hunters. I’m also fully aware anyone saying LW items are bis in phase 1 for hunters are flat out wrong.
I get that its frustrating that Blizzard is picking and choosing what changes to include, but I don’t understand why you would think something that wasn’t in the first patch of TBC belongs in the first patch of TBC classic
Your right they are not the BiS, but they are VERY close to it, and they have some major advantages over the BiS.
You can get it without competing vs others for the loot, you don’t have to pray for a drop, it is basically garenteed at the cost of being about 1% behind the actual BiS item.
So yes there is a very slight upgrade option. But then you have to have that upgrade drop and win it from w/e loot councle, dkp, epgp, gdkp, exc system your guild/raid uses.
So yes its not the true BiS. But it’s close enough that the fact it’s something you can garentee you get makes it highly desirable.
Idk about you but rnjesus hates me, I did BWL from release till about 5 weeks into naxx every week except maybe 3 that I missed due to RL. I play a hunter. The crossbow never dropped for me. It’s not that I lost the roll, it just never dropped for a group I was in. So maybe you don’t see the value of a garenteed item that is slightly behind in BiS item that is a chance to get, but to me it has a lot of value to it.
I eventually got the bow from 4 horsemen in naxx because my guild felt bad for me as they were aware of my lack of luck and gifted it to me (even though we use dkp) by noone else bidding on it. Altho I didn’t know this at the time and still used half my dkp on it, lol.
But hay, rnjesus can be cruel, so a garenteed item can be very valuable even if it’s 1% behind the actual BiS.
Uh because it actually was in the first patch? It was included in 2.1. I think what you meant to say was not included at launch. But my counter to that is why would we have progressive phases in TBC Classic when all content EXCEPT Sunwell was available in game 4 months after release. You’re targeting engineering goggles only because they were released at that 4 month marker. Do you know WHY they were released that late?
Because TBC was super rushed and delayed and patch 2.1 was the patch with all the delayed content not ready to go on launch that was supposed to be in at launch. All TBC content was literally supposed to be available in game on Day 1, but they didn’t have it all done. So my question to you would be why do you want to enforce an arbitrary tier phase content restriction when that never existed in the first place in TBC. You cannot apply phased content to TBC like you can in classic, it just wasn’t designed that way at all.
Not to mention the 20 hit rating 3 set bonus can be useful for rotating in T5 off pieces without itemizing for hit on lesser items.
