Defense Cap

540 or 545 for raids? I forget. Been getting conflicting sources of info.

535 for dungeons. 540 for raids.

Idk, man. Google says 540.

Mob crit chance is a base 5% at same level and at base defense skill from leveling. Add .20% chance per level advantage over you. Dungeon mobs are always +2 over you and raid bosses are +3. You need +135 defense from gear/talents to be uncrittable in dungeons (so, 535). You need +140 defense to be uncrittable in raids (so, 540).

Note that if you have PvP gear, resilience will also contribute to crit % reduction, effectively lowering the amount of defense you have. It’s good to have when content is not cutting edge as it’s a nice boost to your damage as well.
