Declined when joining Mythic, Using key takes an hour to form group

Joining a guild at this point in the expansion when every guild already has its cliques that run dungeons together. Yea good luck with that.

“every guild” does not have that

Will you (necessarily) get into a cutting edge mythic raiding group? Maybe not. But there are LOTS of random guilds looking to build rosters to push harder content, and lots that are recruiting casually to have an active community. Like real life, you need to actually put in effort to make friends. The vast majority of guilds I’ve been in I go in with a single person I know, and within 3 months I’m in my own clique and dungeon group that doesn’t even involve the person I joined with.

If the guild is run properly, the GL is actively working to see this doesn’t happen to the extent that others in the guild feel denied content.

If you’re going to Pug it, then going heals or tank is the way to go.

Trying to Pug rando keys as DPS is the most difficult option. If you really want to do so, switching to a meta DPS class helps a lot.

I do agree though that pushing your own key is a lot harder now. Somehow it was easier to fill keys 10 months into 8.3 the it is now.

A friend and I run Tank/Heals combo on our own keys. In 8.3 we would have 20 DPS in the que instantly. Now it’s waaaay slower.

No solution for that, but making nearly every run end in something different than a 35 Anima nutpunch would probably be a step in the right direction.

patience is a virtue

Do a tank, it sucks and you’ll probably hate it, but you’ll usually get in!!

35 Anima is definitely the new…meme? Joke? April Fools Joke? That WoW has now. It feels so dreadful, and I sincerely hope there’s an improvement down the line.

There are plenty of tanks and healers in the game, there’s actually a glut of too many tanks. The thing is, they don’t like PUGGING with DPS, because PUG DPS forget all of their manners once they get a spot in a group.

welcome to the exact reason automatic matchmaking was created

Yuck. No thanks. Or should I say “no tanks”.

2 hours? I don’t buy that. But then again I wait a max of 30min and after that I disband and just go do something else. Most of the groups I’ve formed are ready for the key within 25min and I’m fairly picky about who I choose.

I will agree that its worse than bfa. BfA M+ was the BEST way to gear up by a huge margin and clearly was too good. With the loot nerfs its almost not worth doing more than a few M+ dungeons. The dungeon loot is just garbage, when it drops and from a loot-perspective only the weekly vault has anything of value.

Many guys that really liked M+ in BfA now consider a complete waste of time.
Doesn’t feel good

I"ve been trying to get into +9s or +10s.

Make some friends and run keys with them?

Join a guild and run keys with them?

High key running M+ tank here!

As of lasst week I’ve completely stopped running keys. Blizzard decided to lock 9 of my 12 BIS stats behind arenas.

As I play this game to upgrade my character what else do I do after hitting my roadblock at m14 keys? Running them doesnt give me even a chance on a roll. 32 dungeon bosses have two drops for leather tanks. 10 raid bosses has one.

Blizzard locked bis tank stats behind arenas. If you want a tank, join rated arenas and wait a game or two and ask that way.

I don’t have answers to this, obviously. And why I mentioned bringing back reforging in I believe your thread, which I know they won’t do.

My Mage friend also hates how there’s so much high mastery everywhere in the raid. Blizzard really should improve secondary stat distribution and not lock versatility to PvP mostly. That’s my opinion on that.

This is exactly it. I time 13 keys easy and some 14s with the right group I probably could too.

For me though whats the point in doing PVE content? It sucks to sit and hear the excitement from four of your players over drops when theres only two bosses out of 32 in all dungeons that drop the best stats for tank.

Ask yourself this. Would playing world of warcraft be worth it if every drop was a 138 green? Thats how useful the gear is in PVE content for tanks right now.

Everyone else might have funj but after three weeks of zero gear dropping for me I’ve just completely hung up the PVE tanking for the rest of the season. I swapped covenants and just do arenas now. The game traded a high key running tank who does over 20 dungeons a week for a havoc arena demon hunter until i farm out 1800 so I can level my 9 of 12 bis pieces.

And that’s fair, and your decision completely. I for one can’t stomach PvP. I despise every single aspect of it, and unless there was a chance of me getting that incredibly Gladiator mount, there’s not a single thing in this game that would entice me to even try. On any of my characters, even if Versatility was the best, you would not be able to entice me into it.

But kudos to you for making that jump. So long as you’re still enjoying the game.
