Goku would whoop almost every version of Superman, that composite version they used was cheese.
Also, Arthas wins this without contest. Even with the ring, he doesn’t have a shot. Open warfare with both armies? Arthas wins even harder.
Any other outcome will lower my opinion of DB, lol.
I like the death battle pool vs pinky pie i
I just watched both preview videos and it’s 100% that Sauron is going to take this one. The video for the Lich King will be “Arthas is a guy with magic armor, remove that and he’s done” vs “Sauron is a god-king being with unlimited power, abilities, and scope”.
Typical Death Battle power scaling for the sake of picking their favorite to win

Whenever this happens in WoW I always think back to FFXIV and the Warrior of Light figuring out that yes, you can actually say no to drinks from strangers because yes, that can end badly.

that’s cause vegeta is better than goku. superman would obviously lose to super vegeta.
come at me superman fans.
Goku saw kryptonite weakened Clark so he destroyed it. Goku does not like fighting weak enemies. He always wants his foes at their best.

They actually did a One Punch Man vs Pop-Eye. Pop-Eye of course won because of cartoon powers. But their fight was very entertaining. That episode is worth a watch.
I just watched it. Comparing and contrasting the two, it is obvious these guys are big Lord of the Rings fans, whereas with the Lich King, it sounded like they were reading off a Wiki page. Which, y’know, I can’t blame someone for not being invested in all fiction, even if World of Warcraft is a big deal, but you can already sense the direction it is headed for that reason.
People who like Lord of the Rings want their big bad villain to win because they think it validates their favorite franchise. I don’t really understand that logic, but whatever.
Random hot-take: I prefer Voldemort over Sauron because at least Voldemort was in the Harry Potter movies, and while ending the saga in a beam struggle was kind of lame, better than being defeated by a gremlin biting off a gnome’s finger and stumbling accidentally into a fire pit. Lol.
Then Gobu loses to Superman.
I said it already in this topic and I’ll say it again:
Also yes, Goku does lose to Superman. And no, I actually really do not like Superman, but I’m familiar with both of their abilities and characters. Superman at his prime is basically God, and Goku would outright refuse to use Kryptonite because he wants to fight people when they’re at their best and hates resorting to trickery. Super Goku might be able to punch through realities, but Prime Superman creates realities by farting
You can repeat yourself but it doesn’t make you right.
Someone earlier in this thread mentioned Spider-Man and Superman teaming up, and Superman somehow being beaten up by Venom. Why even bother with a “cross-over event” if you’re not interested in at least being faithful somewhat to the characters?
It’s basically just copyright infringement if you’re not being authentic to what they’re supposed to be. And I assume that’s what a number people are mad about in many cases (although obviously you do have some loose cannons that care about “their team winning”).
Because it’s entertaining? (Assuming it was anyway, I don’t read comics)
If this were actual canon to their individual stories then yes I 100% agree continuity is extremely important, but when it’s just glorified “smashing superhero action figures into each other on the playground” then who cares?
Can we just admire the irony that Sauron and Gandalf both kinda weakened themselves in the main series? Both were basically elder gods who could warp reality on a whim, Gandalf became an old Merlin man and Sauron bound ALL of his god like power to a tiny easily lost object that most people drop down a sink at some point…

People can be wrong, but they also shouldn’t get mad if someone tells them they’re wrong. I don’t really see what the issue is. If you want to smash your toys together, that’s fine, but when you say they’re representative of something beyond that, you’re naturally opening yourself up to someone correcting you - and you don’t really have a right to be defensive about being corrected if you’re incorrect.

You say that as if Death Battle acts as if they’re the de facto source on everything they say and anyone who says otherwise is just straight up wrong and stupid
Meanwhile it’s the dissenters who treat DB as if they’re committing crimes against humanity just because their favorite lost a fight

Wow a third of that video was a shill.

I want to be entertained. While I am on the LK’s team, as long as the fight is good, I won’t be too upset.
Honestly think Arthas takes this. Sauron has a history of losing when he fights directly, and Arthas is definitely way stronger than Isildur.

Compared to the in-depth trailer made for Sauron that lovingly covered nearly all of his abilities and then Arthas that didn’t touch on hardly anything, it’s going to be a lopsided affair.
