So if Goku showed up in Superman in Action Comics, and he started destroying Metropolis for no reason, wouldn’t stop when asked, he would lose.
Superman shows up in DBZ, starts wreaking havoc, he’s the bad guy, and loses.
More along the lines of Tolkien believing that power should only be used with exacting, measured purpose. To wield power for the sake of it is to misuse it.
Lets be honest with ourselves . . . The Lich King has nothing on a literal fallen angel allegory with the powers of a god.
Not to mention that Sauron tends to create pitfalls for his enemies that depend on their lust for personal power. Arthas would fall headlong directly into that immediately - his entire character is predicated on grasping for power.
Sauron was defeated by a tiny Hobbit with a ring.

Well, let’s not forget that the Lich King has failed to kill everyone he has tried to kill. Just to name a few, Sylvanas Windrunner, Muradin Bronzebeard, Illidan, Mal’ganis, they’re all still around.
I’m not sure Lich King would actually kill Sauron. Probably just leave him in the snow like he did Illidan “ah, close enough”

Considering all it took was Sauron’s finger to be cut off to defeat his invasion and win the day…no chance honestly, its a VERY bad match up.
The orc army can defeat the undead army because they are insanely strong, and LK’s undead dragons are no match vs the nazgul on their flying creatures. then you have the witch queen “who cannot b defeated by any man” and the LK is a MAN…not a woman(I know dumb writing there) so he can’t even defeat him. Well unless your name is Talion, then you can bypass this rule lol.
The problem with Sauron is we don’t know any of his actual fighting skills apart from swinging a massive mace around too…he mostly manipulated his way to power as the elf form, rarely fought.
But as someone else said, they are most likely going to make whoever is sponsoring win…it could be rigged easily.
Does Sauron have his “One Ring”? Most of his power, hate and will to dominate was imbued into that ring. Without it he’s going to be a pushover for full bore Lich King.
There’s so many versions of superman too, they could just pick an Op version of superman that’s nearly unbeatable and call it a day…stupid match up. What they need to do is stuff like possessed Yusuke(his father controlling him) vs Vasto lorde Ichigo(hollow in control, form used in Ulqiorra fight)…THATS fair. Or Black Goku vs Black Adam, in which they are both evil versions of the hero with great power.

Bruh. How are people going to tell me that Sauron is stronger than Lich King? I’m watching a video about Sauron’s history and Sauron just drowned to death when a storm wrecked his ship. Lol. That explains why he died when his finger got cut off - he was technically already dead and the ring was the only thing keeping him alive.
Bruh, Arthas tore out his own beating heart and could live because he was just that powerful, how are you going to try to tell me some guy who could drown to death and needed a ring to reanimate his corpse could keep up? Apparently most of Sauron’s magical abilities were lost when he drown to death too, so the most iconic version of his character, which we saw in Lord of the Rings, was ACTUALLY just a dead body kept alive by a ring. I’d go as far as saying that canonically, Arthas should be able to dominate Sauron’s dead body without even needing to fight in the first place.

The real sauron 100% would win against the LK. Its not even a fair comparison.
That would be like putting the lich king vs Rand althor (dude could 1 shot goku) from wheel of time. Rand/sauron are just beyond the LK’s power.
How thought? Sauron literally got his finger sliced off and the war was over. He didn’t show real powers ever in any actual fights, even Talion vs Sauron, he wasn’t impressive.
I mean sure but did you see what he did before hand? He swung his mace once and like 20 ppl went flying.
