If this guy is really from death and taxes his rose tinted glasses are GLOSSY!!!
Naxx on PServers are tuned more difficult than vanilla naxx.
Top guilds will clear classic naxx day 1.
15 years ago everyone just sucked at the game. Including you. So get over it. Classic will be stomped on. But that doesn’t mean it won’t be an extremely fun and rewarding game

I think the reality is that neither member is claiming to speak for the whole. Personally, I have a few server-firsts under my belt. Can I put in that kind of time raiding again, even though I’m now 15ish years older? Well, yeah… I’m not in school anymore, and no longer working odd hours to get by. I have a career that is a banker’s hours position, which means I could theoretically raid from 530ish to ??? I imagine some of the DnT people are capable of this as well, and those may be the kind of people OP is rounding up.
Instructor Raz was a very humbling experience our first week. We spent so much time on just his encounter I thought I was going to start getting mail in Naxx.
I imagine many of the world first folks are going to be looking to do the rank 14 grind on warriors for maximum DPS.
You need to be unemployed for that. That’s what I was getting at.
To be world first and even server first. It’s going to be hard with a job.
Welcome back D&T, I look forward to seeing you guys around again.
It’s unfortunate that a recruitment thread has devolved into why recruiting from the WoW forums won’t get you the high tier players you’ll be looking for lol.

Yes, more or less. I helped my roommate as much as I could (he was on disability so… unemployed). The highest I got was Rank 11 before I hit the treadmill for my playtime (about 7-8 hours per night, on average). I would have needed probably 12 hours, minimum, to break through, but I just couldn’t do it.
yeah parry and dodge used to be through the roof, even cows would dodge your attacks, and raid bosses? it was brutal.

You don’t need to be unemployed, but you certainly can’t be putting in overtime and expect to hit r14, so long as your servers inhabitants follow the brackets
it actually is doable, spend first few evening just trash / boe farming for rep, dark iron ore, cores, etc for FR gear for tank, doable but also very unhealthy.

This is 1.12 man. Theyre will be little need to raid 5 times a week again. Unless you plan on running all raids even as you progress.
Props to you but i don’t want to go through that again. No time. No desire.
Wow, death and taxes? I feel like I’m posting in the thread of a celebrity!
Yeah, and that in itself makes my cynical mind suspicious, lol. Still…good luck to them.
Nice to see some of the old names from vanilla reappearing.
First Goon Squad and now Death and Taxes.
Best of luck to you in reliving the dream.
Are you going to break up in a scandal again that involved teens sending nudes and posting them on the guild forums?

What really is the point of trying to mass recruit for raid guilds before the game launches?
Unless they are raiders coming straight over from live you will have no idea of their ability or even if they will hit level cap under four months.
Let people naturally join guilds as they level and group with people rather then recreating trade chat.
Will DnT truly revive their once upon a time nerd “glory” or will it be creepy uncomfortable like a 50 year old dude trying to talk to girls at a college bar who keeps saying “Back in my day I was the big man on campus”?
You think the only pool of potential guild members can come from retail ?
I can think of another community where they have been clearing vanilla raids for near 15 years.
Not disagreeing but I am saying you are unlikely to attract their attention on the wow forums.
Oh they are reading the wow forums. Anyone can read the wow forums, reddit forums, etc.
There’s quite a few funny comments regarding these “experienced” streamers as well.
So what…?
Why would these people with established communities join some randos guild?
