Not transmog per say but as I like to match my transmog with a pet and mount I’d like to see more matching pet and mount combos.
I wish cloaks went over shoulders. Also I absolutely NEED hair to be shown in hoods. This game has been out forever and they still havent added that!! I shouldn’t have to become bald to have a hood on or a hat on.
Another thing that would be awesome would be if everyone could transmog like, the armor type thats right below theirs if that makes sense? Like, plate wearers could transmog mail, mail wearers can transmog leather, and leather wearers can transmog cloth. That would be absolutely amazing in my opinion
Edit: also, allow other classes to equip and tmog glaives!!! Like warriors and other classes!!!
most pvp plate sets have no matching shields. its annoying
Pretty sure the rogue Antorus set never got boots on its LFR and Mythic sets. AAA company btw.
leather and mail need some love. the only love leather got recently was the skimpy stuff in legion. and mail has used the same design just colored different for 98% of the models since wod maybe even longer. If you don’t believe me look at mail pants, leather looking leggings of a color with a different colored shape on the hip. 100s of that same design just recolored and tweaked. why i don’t know but they are
The fact that we have all kinds of new armor geosets from Legion and BFA and Blizzard still insists on 75% of the appearances added to Shadowlands be flat textures. The fact that half the armor sets that do use them are either “Choose between legs and chest, but never both.” The Necrolord mail set should have the geosets we see Draka using in her variant of it, but for no reason at all we can’t have it.
In general Blizzard’s unwillingness to add appearances that are already in the game seemingly on the basis that they don’t want the game to be ‘too’ fun is ridiculous.
Also let clothies have more variety. Make new robe models already. Let people have open robes and cloaks and jackets without needing to roll leather.
Tauren Hoof armor… and by extension troll foot armor.
As it stands there are only a few rare pieces that provide things like Hoof armoring (chosen dead set from Valor raid for example) and most of these also provide troll foot covering as well.
So, if I want to have non-naked hooves I have to pick one of about 6 shoes, and end up making the transmog fit in that piece so it doesn’t look weird.
I find that kind of limiting.
Hoof armor altogether is lacking. Right now it doesn’t matter much what you equip on a Draenei’s feet, for example.
Single-worst item transmog in the game, top to bottom, are guns for hunters. I don’t know whether it’s a cultural thing at Blizzard or not, but you can tell there aren’t a lot of outdoorsmen/women in Anaheim. They need to bring some technical advisors over from the Call of Duty series to have a discussion on how to animate a gun.
Crossbows have been bad since Legion, but there are some earlier ones that are good. Bows are hit or miss, but it’s a far sight better than the other two ranged weapons. Ammo belts and quivers, though, need to be added as appropriate.
A lot of cloth armor in general doesn’t look to be made of cloth. There are some cloth armors that are recolors of leather armors. Others are just way too big and have obvious metal content in them. If your cloth shoulders look like they belong on an Orc prot warrior, there’s a problem.
Mail armor similarly looks too much like plate at times, and leather at others. We need more mail sets that have the trademark small-ringlet patterns that real chainmail has.
More hats. There isn’t enough headwear that doesn’t look like armor out there - it’s why I usually choose the “no helm” option for my chars. This is especially needed for plate wearers.
We’re getting cosmetic glasses I’m told, that’s a good thing. This char may go from eyepatch to glasses in that case.
Quivers and bandoliers.
Especially a hip quiver.
I wish they would add to the list ALL the “white” armor found in the game. I personally like the simple look, and looking like an NPC. Also, all the holiday clothes should be added permanently - like, if I want to go around looking like a Pilgrim all year then it should be allowed!
I wish more leather armour didn’t look like it was stitched together by a mana addict using materials he looted off sleeping hobos.
Dresses for cloth… can we get something else
Dragonscale.
We got a few in classic, but suffice it to say, those are quite outdated.
The draconic stuff we’ve gotten since has just been bones… which is cool, in its own way, but if you want to go for a more regal dignity tone, rather than primal brutality, you have nothing with the available options.
We see it constantly in art both official and fan of classes using different types of armor. A lot of the time tier gear or high level gear looks to be mixed with other armor or just flat out not the armor type it is supposed to be.
I’d enjoy all armor being able to be Tmogged with the exception of Tier gear and pvp gear. Tier gear is made for that classes lore/feel/look and pvp gear at least the early years are made with the class in mind as well usually.
SL was a small step forward in back items being lifeless stiff cloaks but more back items that are not just cloaks.
Class flairs that they’ve at least talked about would be neat to attempt to add. Totem, Librams, quivers but then continue that with idols for druids, vials of poison for rogues and just the ability to sheath one swords on the back.
But overall I’ve given up on blizzard making great strides in character customization. They took a large step with the recent round of stuff we got but it caught WoW up to some MMORPGS and just above others. WoW is an old game and the amount of customization is incredibly disappointing so I’ve come to the thinking if they add stuff great but I’m not holding my breath.
Why are so many capes called cloaks? Why can’t I have an actual cloak?
I’d like to see them do more with shirts. Now that we can hide chest armor shirts have become a legitimate universal transmog item. They could add in things like tattoo patterns as shirts. New skimpy styles, tshirts, straps, even full on robes. The possibilities are endless and they are good for every armour type.
You’re in luck! Tauren heritage armour makes us the only race with access to a fine loin cloth transmog for any armour class.
Admire my loin cloth, blessed by the ancestors to protect the future generations of my family
Ok, that transmog gives a whole new meaning to the term Holy Cow. Bravo my bovine friend!
The SL crafted Leather armor looks mighty spiffy - on a Void Elf at least.
