What item appearance leaves you feeling like something is missing? Or what style of appearance has not been added but you feel like it would add the most?
I should add the I generally enjoy the art choices Blizzard makes, I’m just genuinely curious what ideas the community has about this.
For me, the answer to question is shields. I would love for them to add more unique shield models. Being a long time Blizzard fan, I’d love to see shields in the style of the Bone Shield item type found in Diablo 2.

It’s weird to me that they never added weapons to go along with heritage armor sets. I mean, they did add some to the game files for some races, but they never became obtainable. It’s just strange.

for the blood elf there was some in game
the argent torny 2 handed sword
sword from the quest line in trailquillian
the battled hilt quest line
for the space goats is the 1000 kills of demons on the final zones in legion

I’d say it was the recent Cosmetic Backpieces from shadowlands.
The game came out going on a year ago soon…they had these back pieces/cloaks that don’t show sheathed 2H weapons yet…they still haven’t found a way to make that work. It just seems incomplete and it’s a turn off for me personally.
I think letting stuff like that go on for as long as it has, is a blow to their art team if anything, not just the players. It’s also more evidence that they’re either lazy, or dedicating too many of their resource hours to their complex systems and not the “game”.
I am hopeful though

Yeah, the SL cloak mogs are pretty huge for me too.
I’d like to be able to use staves/polearms on characters with the backpieces, and there are so many cases where the items wouldn’t clip at all.
The goofy looking backpack from BFA can be worn with shields and all, regardless of clipping. They should just allow them to be seen, and we can (believe it or not) choose whether or not it looks good on our character.

All ranged weapons are pretty sad for xmog.
There’s only one crossbow I like and it’s the Adamantine Ripper/Coilfang Needler model from BC.
The best Gun is the one from Big Bad Wolf in the original Karazhan.
There’s maybe 4 or 5 good Bows…
Would also love to see more belts like the Necrolord cloth one - it looks so good and graces the body very nicely.

“Cosmetic” type items- we’ve started getting more of them now, which is great, but these would be great for crafting professions. LW could make armor class-agnostic eyepatches (maybe even quivers?), engineers could make goggles (goggles without an engi 1 req would be great, but I get it) , JC could make monocles or something like that.
The few headpieces added this expansion made me think it would be cool if we could have stuff like that. Could even require old mats (just no khorium please)

Wouldn’t know…I have gone 5 weeks straight of tmog hunting in LFR castle and have gotten nothing in raids and rings, trinkets and or neck slots in the weekly chest.

Dyes for the armor, I’d like that. Also, I want my cloak to billow in the wind. Like when I’m standing surveying the landscape, or just staring at the oribos map, I want it to flutter about. I’d like more items that showed off my midriff.

I think that More simplistic weapons are needed. same with armor, specially on mail, leather and plate.
Actual armored leather pants and not only a colored leggings.
Less robes for clothies.

The Shard of Azzinoth as a warglaive transmog. I get that they’re daggers, and so can’t be transmogged over warglaives, but I think there should be an exception for that specific dagger.
