Dear Developers

Do you all actually play this game?

It’s incredible to me that a 14 year old game can re-release and have as many issues as it has had. You have a beta test for a reason yet a bulk of the game (battlegrounds) were not released or tested on it. Kara still had and has issues (i.e nightbane bugged out flying in air with doors closed for 15+ minutes after wipe).

The entire TBC release has been a reactive approach to fixes/bugs (which there have been a ton of).

Queue times I can understand as an uncontrollable issue — however, the honor points per game are disgusting. Before you argue that pvp shouldn’t be an end all be all for getting gear, I can literally dungeon grind exalted on multiple factions to unlock gear before I can earn enough honor to purchase a pvp gem…

As someone who can actually devote a fair chunk of time to the game- it’s absolutely unreasonable and a waste of time to pick up this second job of farming honor. Now when tomorrow hits and the vast majority of the players get one shot by a deep thunder warrior because lel 0 resil- the pvp pool is going to most certainly shrink.

Have you compared the honor gains to real TBC?

I can’t speak for all bgs, but we’re currently able to get MORE honor from EotS then we ever were back in 2007

This is true. I don’t know where people got this odd idea that they’d be able to gear out in honor gear within a week before Arenas. Original TBC was not like that.

Although they may have hotfixed the flag thing.

So right now honor is bugged in EOTS, both sides are supposed to be gettin 21 honor per 330 points and it looks like alliance is only getting 2.

So whats the benefit of honor taking 20x longer to get a piece of gear instead of being able to play the game its awful in pve doesn’t take anything away when people achieve it outside of it’s easier to get the entire player base into arena instead of it taking too long or not even worth doing and having people quit. This is Classic TBC they should improve things that were worse back then overall for players instead of copying everything to be identical to how it was then even if it was (Which theres 0 way it was or i’d of never been able to gear 2 characters). It’s overall more beneficial to allow people to casually grind some honor pre-patch was 1000x better for honor than the current game everyone said its way better at 70 don’t worry well its worse some how.

No - I do not have screenshots from my windows xp computer. But I can firmly state that the game being played now is not comparable to that of before.

World first Mag didn’t die until 40 days after release. TBC Classic Mag hardly lasted 24 hours… there were no weakauras telling you how to play the game.

It’s incredibly easy to gear up in PvE now and certain classes cannot use straight PvE gear for the pure fact that turbo zug zugs will 1 shot.

I’m also certain that the queues were not what they are now- specifically thanks to battlegroups (which do not exist in classic tbc).

I find it very hard to draw a parallel to TBC classic

Queues were not what they are now purely because people didn’t know as much about Horde being better for things, it’s nothing about battle groups.

You realize the implementation of battlegroups was a result of the need for cross server pvp due to faction imbalances on individual servers right?

Back in the day BGs were queued only vs your server. A faction dominated the server and eventually drove off the opposing faction. Thus cross server play and battle groups were formed - where ally dominated servers were matched with horde dominated servers.

Are there more horde than ally? According to ironforge. io which takes into account server pop based on raid logs, across Americas servers- the faction split is 46% ally (14,179) vs 54% horde (16,437). Not a massive imbalance…

People don’t wanna queue BGs and rot away 70 hours to buy 1 piece.

Bgs are already cross server, but just like live servers, less Alliance want to pvp than horde.

If you look, PvP servers are heavily horde and Pve heavily alliance.

Everyone having a net lower set of gear helps to even the playing field longer. Quick gearing leads to those who can power game into having a massive advantage at the beginning overgearing others and not winning by skill. This still eventually happens but it is worse when it happens fast as it leads to gatekeeping people out of content. This is one of the main reasons SL pvp sucks and the boosting became some rampant.

#nochanges.

Means blizz has to be super slow with bugs.

You realize that all the turbo nerds have fully geared/capped when these “bugs” have been in the game right? Ally groups have exploited EOTS flag caps since launch and decked out. People fully capped honor in pre-patch when it was “giving too much.”

The imbalance has already been created and with it now being fixed, the casual player will NEVER see honor rewards. This will further lessen the amount of people doing arena.

Additionally - the net lower set of gear is not true either. People are way more geared from PvE than in the past, which as I mentioned, certain classes do not require full pvp sets. As a healer, warlock, you NEED resilience. Warriors and rogues do not need as much and will just blow those classes up.

I’ve posted previously that the people not playing to win by doing the flag meta in EoTS should be banned and stripped of rewards as the people who did naked AB were. Neither were playing to win. They won’t ban the EoTS people though because they are rank 1 glads and streamers.

I think they were trying to give us the full experience with bugs and all. The only thing we’re missing is extensive maintenance times (outside of launch.)

I think a lot of people are remembering WOTLK and Cata, the true peak of WoW, and confuse it with TBC. TBC was always a grindy time sink of an expansion, including the honor farm which was always slow in 2.4.3. Wrath fixed a lot of these issues.

I think most people who dislike the honor grind in TBC are going to greatly prefer WOTLk once that launches.

Rank ones and players would still be banned I don’t blame the players for doing what they did I blame the system and their slow reaction and not coming up with a solution to put in place of the flawed system. Each faction did it just was 20x better for alliance due to queue times. I think your mindset of getting gear slowly and keeping it slow is an poor mindset because all raids were cleared in literally less than 24 hours of the release of TBC the players with full epic PvE gear will dominate just like the early season of shadowlands people who only PvP’d were at a massive disadvantage there’s a reason resilience was added to the game so the two were separated.

Long story short people who raided or got extremely lucky on drops will have massive advantages I do both but certain classes will be screwed over due to how much their class relies on resilience thankfully i play rogue and mage so i really don’t need resilience feel bad for healers/locks/spriests though.

100% accurate. and when horde manages to FINALLY go vs an alliance PUG the alliance team is so far ahead in pvp gear than horde is that they just flop over… this arena season is ruined… i think the rep pvp gear needs to be released NOW! AND something for horde players to enjoy BGs… like its complete torture for horde to BG

Or private servers, where several of these issues were changed to make for a better player experience.

Releasing anything as a counter measure will only intensify the sweat. Who woulda thought the player woulda destroyed its own game.

By the way… dancing around pillars is not pvp nor arena.
