its been 18 years since the burning crusade released, WoW has changed alot in that time and yet we still cant fly in the blood elf/draenei starting areas please fix this thank you

Correct. Because those areas were not designed with flight in mind. Have you ever seen Silvermoon from above?

I’m still of the theory that they’re not going to revamp the old areas. They’ll just make a new area attached to EK for the expansion and the old area will still be through the portal on the Outland map.

I’m fully expecting a revamp of Eversong/Ghostlands at some point. Until then though these areas simply weren’t built for it. It’s clearly not a priority for them either. Between the BE and Draenei starting areas, I think the Draenei one is worse off. Lore wise, the Exodar should be floating above the isles. It is beyond out of date.

Can we leave our carboard cut out city alone please. It is beautiful, and don’t need to fly to see the glorious city of carboard cutouts.
I really don’t think they’re going to revamp the Outland map Quel’thalas. I still think they’re just going to create a new area on the EK map. But I s’pose we’ll see.
Only time will tell. But would love to see Quel’thalas really connected to the Eastern Kingdoms.
Yeah, that’s why I’m thinking old zones will be through the portal and new zones will finally be part of the continent.
Why would they not revamp Quel’thelas. It’s going to be the main setting in Midnight. I do hope they revamp Azuremyst Isle too but that seems unlikely.
Because then we lose three starter zones. Thus, why I’m hoping it’s just going to be old zones through the portal, new zones attached to EK.
I doubt they’ll revamp the existing cities over just making “new” ones to avoid screwing up stuff that’s been there forever at this point. *edit cause typo
Side note, do people think putting “Dear Blizzard” in their title does anything? Don’t the mods actually strongly dislike that?

If they revamp them, the zones will be bigger and better. Plus they may need to expand Quel’thalas since at least part of Midnight will take place there.

No need to revamp when they can build new.
Never happening for the original blood elf zones, the sheer extent of the work Silvermoon requires basically means redoing the city from scratch.

Yeah the og starter zone will basically still exist as phasing in the Outlands continent, like how you can still start a night elf toon in Teld (I have two parked there because I’m soso on the classes I picked).
I don’t see why they wouldn’t revamp as well as make as something new.
Because why waste time on an Outland map if it’s not being used for the expansion? And why change what people don’t want changed?
To be fair neither were the original Vanilla Zones but they were changed to allow flying in Cata.
They could limit flying to outside of Silvermoon and Exodar so that they wouldn’t have to make changes to those .
Since there are flight paths outside then no reason for no flying mounts in areas like that.
Outside of a full revamp, I just feel it’s a wasted effort.
