Willing to bet Knaifu will just be a mage with dark purple spell visuals. That’s pretty much what they did with the Void Elves, after all.
Never even really thought about it but yah’, the Nerubians will have a more direct connection to the Void and might even be empowered by it! God that is awesome!
The problem with this one is that you can only name one Nerubian that anyone has ever remembered, and that was Anub’arak. Whom spent most of Warcraft III whining and going “I pledge my allegiance to the Lich King despite my own race turning against me”.
… in hindsight, Anub’arak being a dungeon boss whom was then resurrected just to fail again is kinda fitting for his character. Undead nerubians are just not as cool as folks want to pretend that they are.
Sorry to burst your bubble.
The fact that you nabbed Maldraxxus in this despite it not being relevant to neither the Scourge or the Void (if you wanted to nab something from Shadowlands that has relevancy to the Scourge, you’d be mentioning The Maw) … this proves that your appeal of it is just “I like necromancy and bony-buildings”. This is fine to have as an opinion but it does make for a very silly argument the way you are using it.
But sure, endless space, eldritch horrors, the “duality of reality” aesthetic of the void isn’t for everyone. However I don’t think a personal dislike for an aesthetic is enough to argue for mass-appeal, especially when comparing a in reality quite narrow theme of “the Scourge” compared to the entirety of “the Void”.
I’m not sure when Blizz got on their Old God/Void kick, but I agree. It just doesn’t have the same appeal as a vast undead army.
ITT: Warcraft players wish they were still 12 playing warcraft 3
Yes. And it is far superior than whatever fake egypt that the old god’s use.
Yet you missed the point that you are quite literally just saying “I personally like undead aesthetics therefore the entire concept of a reality-duality of the void is uninteresting”. It would be the same thing as saying “I like how my house looks like and because of that reason I say philosophy sucks and has no appeal to anyone”.
They aren’t comparable. It isn’t apples and oranges, it is apples and books you are comparing to and against each others.
