Deadmines not in Dungeon Finder

I haven’t played warcraft in a while. I just started leveling a character and i was disappointed when i looked into the dungeon finder and did not see the usual dungeons i used to see. I hit level 20 i expected to see it there. All i see is "Battle for Azeroth’ dungeons Freehold and Atal’Dazar. Why remove the vast variety of dungeons classic had for only 2? Am i doing something wrong? is there a way to get Deadmines?

You gotta use Chromie time (near the dwarven district) and pick the Cata set of dungeons.

It still annoys me that Chromie Time-ing Cata DOESN’T let you level entirely through the actual Cata zones… We need a “classic” Chromie time separate from the original…

It is annoying that they separate the dungeons by Chromie Time. This is one of the biggest issues with the squish.

the “actual” cata zones require flight… not much point to offering them to lowbies who wouldn’t be able to get to quest objectives.

Worst part is that they already have it in the game. If you sit in the queue for to long it asks if you want to open up to other dungeons

I’m not sure you actually NEED flight for any of them except… Deepholm? At least that’s what I remember.

Leave it to Blizzard to make things more difficult than they should be. This separation also makes the game appear more dead than it needs to be.

Originally it was going to be this way but I guess blizzard remembered that 4/5 Cata leveling zones require flying at some point. The only one that doesn’t is Vashj’ir, which most people hate because they can’t handle the z-axis.

Nope, there are a few quest chains that require flying to either complete or reach.

Hyjal has the Aviana chain where you need flying to reach her mates nest so you can kill him (https://wowpedia.fandom.com/wiki/A_Prayer_and_a_Wing). You also need it later on when you have to go through Sethria’s Roost
Deepholm has the first main chain since you need flying to get to the alliance airship and other times later on
Uldum requires flying to reach Siamat’s area right off the bat when you spy on him (https://wowpedia.fandom.com/wiki/Traitors!)
Twilight Highlands requires flying to reach the Red Dragon hub.

So unless you wanted to be forced to do Vashj’ir every time you wanted to level through Cata only zones so you can get to level 30 for flying, you are gonna have to deal with the revamped vanilla zones until you hit level 30.

It does let you level through them. Just have to hit 30 first.

Shyaelle is saying that she wants to level through them from 10-50 (as you can’t start chromie time until you hit level 10). Hence the word “entirely”.

Yes, I know. I can comprehend what I read. And you can still level entirely through all of the Cata zones, though it will require halting xp gain in order to do so.

It looks like you are doing the ‘new’ player experience and leveling up in BfA. You will only get BfA dungeons. You can level up your next character differently and get those dungeons.

You need to talk to Chromie in Stormwind or Orgrimmar (marked on your map with an hourglass) and select “The Cataclysm”. This will give you access to Vanilla and Cata dungeons.

Good point. Though I guess then I’d just be like… Let us unlock flying earlier.

Would love to spend my entire leveling experience in Cata zones. >_<

They could provide temporary flying mounts for these quests. Similar to the rocket provided in Storm Peaks.

yes it is. Its terrible. Nothing like I was expecting.
I’d almost rather just revert all the changes at this point.

lmao…are you serious?
So they already knew it was a problem and didnt just make this the standard?
I want ALL of the dungeons on the list…it literally doesnt matter what dungeon we get into if we’re running randoms.
