Yep. I picked legion for my druid when it started to do High Mountain again. I queued up and expected a long queue time as a dps then a pop up asked if I wanted to expand my search to other expansions.
Which I asked the same thing you asked. They knew that there would be a split that would cause queue time issues for some expansions so they came up with this fix… but why not just make them all together?
We all had to do them without flight when they were new.
yeah…it wasnt too hard to figure out that practically no one would chose Mists to level in over other options…leaving some of us with no one to run dungeons with. lol.
they needed to put all the dungeons on a single list. I dont think it was going to break anyones will to play the game if they choose mists and end up running deadmines in a random. lol
This is probably the stupidest decision Blizzard made regarding the level squish. I get that they want to funnel everyone into BfA because it’s more modern and a better intro to the game as far as first impressions are concerned, but why not just default the dungeon finder to BfA Dungeons and have a separate “Legacy Dungeons” dropdown for everything before it?
BFA is really not a good intro to WOW. Its their newest (minus SL) but its not a GOOD view of WOW as a whole.
Its like they came up with the idea, then said “how can we ruin this?”
You change the setting of the leveling from BFA to Cata/classic in Chromie timewalking.
Good luck doing Cata dungeons. Out of all the time zones, those are the most over tuned.

Flight was unlocked in Azeroth in the pre-patch.
It required level 60, not 85.
Wow. Ok. Id forgotten. To be fair, most of that was very forgettable.
I just wish blizzard added the old classic wow overworld pre cata revamp dungeons zones and quests for chromie time. I truly wish this was a thing in retail for chromie time, because i would lvl in the og barrens right now on my demon hunter if i could.
You cannot fly, but i would not care and i am sure a ton of others would not either. I would gladly level in retail in the old pre revamped zones and quests and dungeons. I also know that classic wow exists, but cant we have that stuff in retail as well? Blows my mind. A missed opportunity if you ask me.
Ok i see whats going on here. looks like you can replay all the intro’s for each patch also. not sure what else timewalking does. What i hate and would like to change is the ability to choose your dungeon. I like to just go down the list to avoid doing the same dungeons over and over. but if i do that i loose the exp and reward for random. it sucks
I don’t recall having flight until max level. At least I didn’t have flight when I was getting the bears out of the tree.
we were able to train flight as soon as we logged in.
flight trainers were buried with people.
pretty sure you needed to “climb” the tree as part of the quest objective…

So, I am completely new at this game and I just got to the deadmines and I did all the backtrack to get here, I loved, but as I found out the dungeon seeker doesn’t let me choose the deadmines. I you are talking about parch right?? How can start since the first parch? Thanks in advance.
So instead of being able to choose one expansion, be forced into having all dungeons in rotation? Are you aware that there are new players and players not familiar with every dungeon in the game?
How will drastically reducing participation options for players who haven’t been playing continuously since vanilla be good for the game?
Seriously, it doesn’t have to be one or the other.
Unless you have a level 50 character, you cannot use Chromie time to select which dungeons you will be able to do. You are stuck with BfA dungeons.
