Dead PTR - why?

Why do I log in and see 0-2 groups LFM max at any point in the day?

Why are there barely any arena queues?

Why are you running a beta with barely any people playing it?

There used to be plenty of people in beta, with groups forming for everything at any given time of the day. They all just got bored and stopped playing.

After 18 years, people are tired of betas?

I don’t see the point of playing betas to be honest, nothing is permanent and all it will do is simply make me burnt out of TBC even faster.

Noticing a lot of new player influx that doesn’t seem to stick around. Can always see people LFG for ramparts and blood furnace, but almost no one doing SP/UB. AC/MT even more rare.

Even the ramparts groups are few and far between. I know beta isnt just about spamming 5 mans but even out in the world there aren’t many players.

Why doesn’t blizz invite more people is what I am getting at.

Cause blizz would rather give beta access to people that quit in phase 2 instead of the people that are the most invested.

Id love to be able to test a number of things but I cant.

Because they are using it as a hype train and not an actual test.

People don’t want to get burned out before the release.

The streamer invites were predictable. Im a nobody and I got in. There was also 1-2 waves that just went out alongside kara/gruul/mag testing but this actually killed the PTR servers for some reason.

Invite 5000 people. Theres no way the people currently in beta have found everything that needs to be fixed.

Free testing labor.

There isn’t anything more permanent about non betas either.

Value diminishing over time. Nobody cares that you have full tier 3 in classic of example. They aren’t going to be marveling at your greatness next year. Or the year after.

Did Blizz stop giving out beta keys too? Opted in during Blizzcon but still waiting :crying_cat_face:

Op, you are complaining about lack of players immediately after many of them just finished a multi-day marathon testing raids.

What is it you are looking to test?
I logged into the server yesterday after you posted this and there was plenty of people looking for groups.

Ive seen 1 other person in Nagrand in the last 3 days. The “plenty” of people LFG depends your definition of plenty. Having 1 group of level 60’s running ramparts and 1 group of level 70’s running SHH per hour to me is not “plenty”. Beta is dead. Invite more people.

This isn’t what a beta is for ffs. Betas are for testing and identifying bugs and broken things to be fixed. Being in a beta is not “early access”. This early access mentality to betas is why games release with a ton of bugs. Stop it.

Why tf would you play beta

Cause we already played tbc so why play it again for beta testing? We already know everything in it. Its not like we have something new to test.

The beta has many many layers as well as many of the players already being 70. You don’t know what you are talking about.

Hell Idk, I’ve had the same email with Blizzard and bought every game and xpac since Diablo I, but apparently in that 20 years of purchases, they seem to think I’m not a “worthy” beta tester. Lol I beta’d Classic WoW OG Beta when I was 7… c’mon Blizz… you can give it to streamers that have never played the game, but not me? (for instance Esfand got D2Resurrected and he’s never even tried D2 & there are many others for even TBC WoW

Due diligence? I think not.
Quite sad, to be honest.
