DDOS Attacks?

Oh, I’m also having connection issues playing Hearthstone as well. Sigh. I will get disconnected from a match. Fortunately it reconnects fast enough that I don’t get booted from it.

5 days , increased 30-60 ms more than normal days !!

Yeah, I’m on, but I’m experiencing lag. Everything is delayed a half second to a second.

Other people say they only see it when looting, but I’m definitely seeing it during combat.

The only thing I’ve noticed that isn’t lagged is mounting.

Horry County here as well down in MB on HTC. Having trouble connecting and having to retry a few times, World Ping looks fine but definitely some input lag. Typically it’s a Spirit issue but maybe different this time.

Im having to use a freakin VPN to play the game till they get this BS sorted

Also Horry County, also on HTC.

This has been a recurring issue for a few days now for me as well. About 25% of the time I zone into any new area I lock up on the loading screen and eventually disconnect. Logging back in just goes to a black screen, or occasionally lets me see my character sheet, but them just goes back to getting stuck on the loading screen when I try to log in.

Is everyone suffering from this also using HTC? I’ve had enough with their crap internet, I’m wondering if Spectrum would be an improvement.

According to someone in this thread they’re having the same issue and in the next county over in NC. So not on HTC. I still say it’s an issue with the route that those of us in this general region have to take to get to Blizz servers.

I don’t think it’s directly HTC, but I don’t know enough about networking to definitively say they can fix it. I plan on calling them tomorrow to at least see if it’s something they can look at. The issue appears to be one (or more) hop in particular between HTC and Blizzard that is breaking things. For anyone new, try this:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/winmtr/
and use the below servers to see where your packet loss is.
137.221.105.2 (US West)
24.105.62.129 (US Central)

Mine, and I believe everyone, is losing packets starting at atl-bb1-link.telia.net and then dropping even more after blizzard-ic-348622-chi-b2.c.telia.net.

So the issue is with whatever this telia.net is. But whether that’s something HTC or Blizzard can fix is the issue.

And like I said before, if you have access to a VPN WoW loads and plays perfectly over a VPN. (Except I still disconnect when jumping into the Maw but that’s still better than not even being able to even log in)

I looked up telia.net and this is what it says lol. I hope it’s not somehow trying to route us to Sweden lol. That might explain the disconnects lol.

Telia Carrier, formerly named TeliaSonera International Carrier (TSIC), is a provider of telecommunication services based in Solna, Sweden. … It is a tier 1 network provider, assigned Autonomous System number AS1299. As of May 2019, Teliawas ranked as the number one Internetbackbone by Dyn.

Parent: Telia Company

Products: International wholesale telecommunications and IP services

Headquarters: Solna, Stockholm, Sweden

Number of employees: ~ 450 (end 2014)

Well…this morning I can get in without issue. Running winmtr shows 0 packet loss across all hops now.

I’ll give it the day and see how it goes. I have a feeling whatever the issue was was known by the parties but they didn’t want to fix it over a holiday/weekend.

Yeah so far so good for me this morning, that was a horrible past few days as far as wanting to play was concerned lol.

Over in brunswick county here was having issues but it seems to be ok today. Must of been something they knew about but waited till monday

Lucky me is still having issues. Just tried logging in, got to character select fine, tried logging the rogue in - DC’d. Tried again, got black character select screen. Sigh.

I wonder if a blue will ever chime in and acknowledge or try to help. Hello, blue, where are you…
