DDOS Attacks?

Hello Blizzard, anybody there? It’s been about three or four hours now and servers been having issues. Bnet couldn’t connect, then you get to the character selection screen and it’s black, click change realm and it disconnects. If you do manage to get to the load screen it stalls at 75% and disconnects.

I finally got into the game, hopped on a flightpath and it went nowhere, i just sat there on a bat. I couldn’t even log out, had to force the game to close. It’s been a repetitive situation basically all day.

So, what’s the scoop… working on it?

I’m having the exact same issue as you. I’ve disabled all addons. Didn’t help. I’ve updated drivers. Didn’t help. This started last night for me and has continued all day.

I did a WinMTR and it shows trouble (huge packet loss and then no responses from hosts after that) at the first blizzard hop.

Same this for me. Was doing keys last night then about 1am eastern got kicked and now I cant connect to anything blizzard related pretty much since last night. Everything on my end is working perfectly

The Jailer is tired of people leaving the Maw.

I’m having similar issues. I’ve included a WinMTR to the Central server as well as the West server provided on the support page

oh hello fellow Horry County resident…small world

Alright. I just decided to test a VPN and hope Blizz doesn’t see me hopping around the country and ding my account.

I didn’t test every region but I did go to Georgia, Texas, and New York and I can immediately log in and play without issue. As soon as I disconnect the VPN and try to log in I’m faced with the same loading issues and can’t even log in to the game.

Seems the issue lies somewhere in the hops specific to my region.

This is very interesting, because I live in Horry County, SC (Conway) as well. But it doesn’t appear to be our isp issue though. I’m fine everywhere else. It seems our route to blizzard is fine until it hits the blizzard hop.

I guess since we all live in the same place we can blame the area. lol. That’s funny that we all live in the same place.

Other places have been having the same issues so it’s not just us.

Whhhoa. Extra small world.

But hey, if you’ve got a VPN load it up and play some WoW. I just tested servers North Carolina and Colorado and they work too.

Weird update, but I’m in Horry County SC and I too lost my ability to reliably connect to WoW at about 1 AM eastern last night. Did a whole raid up to that point, it let out at 12:30 and about half an hour later I couldn’t play WoW. It’s still happening as of 7:30 PM.

I am also in Horry County SC and having problems. I started having problems this morning around 4 am. Since then I have only been able to log in 1 out of 20 times. I have been working on logging in for an hour now.

Sounds like we need to call HTC.

already on hold with their robots

“Please unplug your router and wait 30 seconds”

“Bruh, the entire area is having the same problem…” lol

I have reset my router. Left it unplugged for 5 minutes just to be sure.

Wastecoat, let us know what they say. I’m sure they’ll blame everyone but something on their end. lol

Also as a side note, didn’t realize so many of us around here played WoW!

I thought I was the only player in Horry County. 🥲

The app still works, so at least I can look at WoW. Lol

I was finally able to get in after 90 minutes of just trying. I am in, and now I am scared to switch characters or log out. Guess I know what I am doing all night.
