Yeah you can randomly get in, just watch your step. I got in earlier, went to take a fp and it didn’t go anywhere lol. I was just sitting on a bat at the fp.
…I would never have expected to see this many random Horry County people in a WoW forum thread…
I will admit, it is quite a random place to find people from the same area. Even though it is because we are all having issues logging in because of something HTC is doing.
Hahaha, nice to know all of us Horry County people are suffering together. I was asking my guildies if they were experiencing issues and they were like “Nope, not today.”
“They are having their network techs look into it and/or getting ahold of blizzard but no ETA when it will be fixed”
Translation: We have no clue what this is happening, and we don’t have anyone here to look at the logs to see what could be causing this issue. We will make a note of it, but will probably not really look at it because it is effecting such a small amount of people. While we are here, let’s put the blame on Blizzard, and say that we will contact them, but really have no intention in doing so.
I may have worked for ISP tech support for too long in my past.
I’ve been logged in an playing for a solid hour now, I’m going afk so I’m praying it doesn’t happen again. Maybe it was just dumb luck I was able to get in.
After trying several times to get in, I got in on my Druid, but was scared to do much. Couldn’t take a flight path for fear of not landing (I’d take off just fine, but would just hover, still on the mount at the end of the flight path).
Finally braved the attempt to switch to my rogue, and bam, stuck loading screen so I gave up for the night.
And yea I’m sure HTC will just blame Blizzard and Blizzard will blame our ISP. Sigh.
I just don’t really understand what is going on when the trace seems to go fine until it hits the first blizzard hop. Plus not to mention the internet works fine for anything else I do.
I’ve been in for a little over an hour, and no issues. I haven’t taken many flight paths though, and I’m just questing in Maldraxxus, so there is not big problem if I get disconnected. It seems stable with no lag though. It just seems that there are issues with getting to the login servers for me, but once I am in, it is good.
Don’t use your hearthstone lol. I’m stuck at the loading screen now, after a solid two hours playing.
Logged back in, was flying in ravendreth and BOOM dc and we’re back to Square one.
It’s getting weirder and weirder. It takes me a few tries to log back in but I disconnect as soon as I fly into a new zone. Like as soon as the mount flys through the transfer portal…bam. DC.
Anyone having any luck? It’s still happening this morning. I logged in fine, but couldn’t get off of the fp mount. I had to once again force close the game.
I just stumbled across this forum post. Seems like our situations are similar, but I’m in Brunswick County, NC. Still doing the same thing for me sadly, can’t get on a FP. If I hearth the load screen freezes or I get dced. I’m starting to think this won’t get fixed until Monday.
Yup, I checked last night before bed and it seemed to be fixed. This morning I can’t log in again.
Excellent! And since it’s Sunday I know HTC won’t be around at all. I don’t think HTC is directly the problem, though. The hope seems to be in between HTC and Blizzard. I’d love for a Blue to step in and at least verify before we hound HTC too much. Aevin. run a winmtr scan to these IPs and see where your packet drops are compared to us in SC.

The winmtr reports posted so far show issues with a telia hop that has been problematic in the past. That would be an isp peering issue, but I don’t know how far you’d get on a holiday weekend.
I’ve been playing for about an hour now, however it did take me a while to log in. Same issues as last night.
Something I also noticed, if I join a group…I can’t see the other players even if they aren’t in war mode. I try to leave the group and it says “you leave the group” but it still shows the other players and that I’m in a group.
And a few seconds later it dcs me.
Also to note, for whatever reason…quest tracking seems to turn itself off every time I dc. When I am able to log back in I have to retrack my quests. Not sure if it’s all related but just in case a blue does read this stuff it’ll help them.
This has been happening to me too. Sometimes not even with a DC. My wife and I both have noticed we just suddenly stop tracking quests sometimes when we hit a loading screen. I have a feeling that packet loss in that Telia hop is what’s causing a lot of our issues.
ha. Horry County here as well, having same issue. Thought i was crazy as guild not having same issue. Im in Galivants Ferry.
Damn, was hoping it would be resolved somehow by this afternoon. Should have known better it being a holiday weekend and all. Ah well, guess I will attempt to do some questing after many attempts of logging in.
BTW, I also have the quest tracking disappearing as well. I think it’s just related to general disconnects and not really directly related to our issue. I also have some elements of my custom UI reset as well on DC’s.
