Why is it ok for db to not be on sheep dr while scatter is on trap dr? On top of sheep just being better since you can spam it.
I could understand it if mm also had pet stun like the other specs, but all they have is scatter.

I imagine it’s because they wanted scatter shot to be used for peel/disruption rather than setting yourself up to get a trap. They could’ve (I think?) easily just made scatter a disorient if they wanted scatter into trap to be the thing for Markmanship.

i dont think dragonsbreath → sheep is “okay” to exist, but its going to exist for the forseeable future.

When scatter was a thing, people could actually eat traps. Games far more toxic now anyways. Trap? JK ward. Trap? JK Fade. Trap? JK SAC. Trap? Etc.
In MoP, it felt like half the teams you weren’t even using scatter for trap. It was scattering the off target and then stuns on CC target to land trap. It’s just different now, but no less amount of synergy was needed then as now.

I would actually say that scatter trap is more toxic than db sheep
And the only reason for that is because you can scatter from range and toss trap from range. Atleast wiht DB you have to go in.
Now nerf RMP.

I’d disagree with that. I think scatter always had a fairly short range plus I thought I always still wanted to be close due to travel/arming time of traps.
DB is actually a pretty long range and what really sucks is it’s a giant cone so prevents anyone near you from stopping the follow up cc. At least scatter is single target.
Can we all agree the absolute worst, the most toxic, was momkey blind into traps?

It’s been so long I might be imagining this but I think originally the monkey “blind” was even a stun that didn’t dr and people would abandon and summon multiple each arena game to abuse it. Or I just made all of that up.

It was on stun DR but broke on damage outside of very first cata season, where it was still a blind on stun DR (so mages couldn’t blink out)
But yeah you could spam dismiss/abandon
imagine getting ccd for 8 seconds by a class that can kill you in 2 (hunters, mages lookin at us)
the game would be so much better if i could win games by having my monkey throw a banana peel at the enemy. ffs.
