Iām super glad this is a thing. Even though the usage and CD are way unbalanced, itās a start. Iām hoping theyāll implement a more permanent fix for the Day Night issue, but itās a start
I support OC having their local time reflected in the in game day and night cycles!

1000 Timeworn badges for the toy. The 24 hr cooldown is the kick in the guts for us.
There is also the consumable for us that play for longer than 2 hours on 1 toon, which is item 170379 - Sunwarmed Sand. Same duration buff for 10 badges. Consumable can be used again after 10 seconds from what ive read, not sure if the buff stacks thoughā¦

While this toy is certainly a step in the right direction for the OCE community, there are two major problems with this: (1) 24 hour cooldown seems too long for a 2 hour buff. It would be more reasonable to make this a 2 hour CD; (2) the buff doesnāt persist through death and thereās no way to reapply it - I learned this 10 minutes into my buff and was very disappointed by the result, especially since I had to wait a whole 24 hours to re-apply it. The second point wouldnāt be much of an issue if it was potion based. Another suggestion would be to make this an existing buff until cancelled (ie. remove the buff duration), negating the importance of a 24 hour CD.
Please fix this Blizzard, as an OCE player I cannot stress how irritating it is to always play this game on night settings. If you refuse to give us back our old time settings, make this a more viable option - the cost of the obtaining the buff seems overly ridiculous for wanting something as basic sunlight in-game (something, by the way, that isnāt even an issue for most US players). Itās something weāve been asking to have fixed for 3 years - this just needs to be tidied up a bit more and it would be a very welcome sight for a lot of players.

Too true I found this out as well by dying. ??? why such a long cooldown. Why make us do timewarp dungeons to get the sunwarmed sand scrolls. I donāt mind timewarps however now I need to do them so I can up my daytime up constantly.

I just love how the only blue post about this issue was a ā/saluteā to the comment about how they read the oceanic forums and that was back in Nov 18.

Iām a US player who plays almost exclusively at night due to work. While the cost isnāt a concern since it is a relatively easy toy to get, Iād love if they at least made the cool down match the buffā¦

Having abandoned WoW since Legion launch due to this very issue, I have learned Sunwarmed is our salvation? So there is no 24 hour cooldown on the non-toy version?
3 day free play - I will accept that as partial forgiveness to Blizz for this heartbreaking crime the last 3 years.
This is almost night and day after all this timeā¦ what happened to BFA? I canāt bring myself to play my huntard main (all old expacs journeyed through - one epic adventure before the dark times), he just feels like a derpy Boba Fett now. Continuing on from huntardās old garrison into Legion now as a risen DKā¦ please Blizz donāt mess up in future!

I must say, I took a month hiatus to play FF14 as I was growing tired of the dark, the grind and the lack of anything resembling decent transmog (Vanity > Valor).
The non-region locked day/night cycle is refreshing. At any time of day (or night) I can see the virtual sunlight on my pixelated face or the fake stars twinkling in the skybox. The notion of having a day/night cycle tied to the real world is outdated and silly.
What effects does it have, some fish can only be caught at night? Some fireworks happen at sunset? If your cycle rotates every 6 hours you get 4 chances a day for that to happen. Maybe itās a mountain being made out of a molehill, but the OCE community deserves better than āEh, thatāll doā
