Confusing as hell. No way Im ever doing this as a key. No way.
Absolutely awful! Even in a follower dungeon it is incomprehensible. I realise that SOME of the problems are bugs (falling through the ships instead of being able to land on them, people I’m standing next to being LOS so I can’t heal them, etc), but even when they fix the bugs this is just terrible design. They have taken everything that is bad about open world dungeons and dialed those bad parts up to 100. I certainly have no desire to even get keystone master if it means having to do this monstrosity. I’ve been playing since Cata and this single dungeon is by far the worst thing I have ever seen in this entire game!
I appreciate your optimism about fixing the bugs, but yeah - this dungeon is so wretched it means I won’t queue for randoms for fear I might get stuck in this dumpster fire again. It should be deleted.
It is horrible…cringe everytime see it. I cant imagine how bad M+ is gonna be.
I get motion sick on the ship. It feels like vertigo. Dragonriding also made me motion sick in DF but I was able to tolerate it in short spurts. The pushback on the ship portion while you are trying to get to the side ships, soooo frustrating. Just let me fly! I can get through this dungeon without throwing up if you just stop the wind crap and give me something to make the room (ship) stop spinning.
I have the same issue. I sent a message to accessibility@blizzard.com noting that motion sickness is a huge issue in this dungeon and there should be an accessibility option like they’ve done for Grimrail Depot and similar in the past. It doesn’t help I play a pet class and there is no path for my pets most of the time on the ships.
Every time I queue for random dungeons, it’s Dawnbreaker. The groups get lost and don’t know where to go or leave the group. Someone who designed Dawnbreaker should not have a job
This dungeon is going to be so miserable in keys. The amount of buggy weirdness alone. Also there’s always some guy that just runs off and tries to fight random stuff in the city or flies into narnia and dies on the last boss.
Its just not a good design. All the skyriding parts are clunky in concept. You have to just mount and fly around and wait for the mechanic to be over in the first boss. I can’t wait for some tunnel visioned dps to not move on the second boss’s orb attack and kill everybody. And the last boss has a bad habit of just despawning when it gets to the end of its flying that goes on for way way too long.
Did it once and did not like the experience as we were lost, confused, and couldn’t figure out where to go. Like even yellow floating arrows pointing in the right direction would be better than what it wanted. Even NO was more straight forward with land at Camp A, kill trash and Boss A, move to Camp B. The town portion we were confused, killed trash around the boss and pulled. His Dmg was crazy until we noticed he had a buff on him from something but managed to kill him with all his stacks of that buff. Should be can’t touch him until the buff is removed or explain what things on the map mean with a defined landing spot for groups to meet at to start.
The third boss, 2 times we had both the healer and a DPS die flying toward the bosses landing cause they weren’t catching on to flying through the yellow orbs. That path directly to him his shorter than going around a whole cliff both down and up. I don’t get the choice of taking such a long way to get to him.
Personally, I don’t think this dungeon will work for M+ pugs at all. It’ll be the key that gets left behind and if you get one your key is dead for the week from it. Even in a full guild group we were still a bit lost trying to figure it out and hated every moment of being in the dungeon. They should have just made it another NO experience with Camp A/B/C/D style.
even if everybody knows what’s going on, how sick are we going to get of flying in a circle waiting for the boss to land so he can do his move we just press a kick on
uh oh, you wiped, guess you get to do it all over again
Follower mode themselves can’t play it properly. Tons of bugs with ships. Not fun at all.
you have to fly off the ship when boss explodes… and then follow the orb trail when boss flies off.
literally easiest dungeon.
Some abilities, like vengeful retreat (which is used on CD even in low-movement builds for havoc), send you flying in a direction based off how the ship is turning instead of the direction you expect it to send you, which will be an instant death in higher keys due to some of the mythic mechanics on the first boss.
What’s really weird is that definitely wasnt in the first version of the dungeon on beta, and my group that i was testing keys with wasnt having the issue of going through the side ships instead of landing on them at that time either. At some point in beta some dev decided to add the wind pushing you for some strange reason, which also seems to have added the issue with clipping into side ships. Really wish they would revert that awful change.
I second this, the town part of this dungeon is absolute hell, it’s the least intuitive dungeon I’ve ever seen in WoW.
This has been my experience. My issue with the town section is the boss that pats. If it takes you too long to get to it you have to either pull a mini-boss and a ton of trash with the boss or sit on a roof and wait for it to leave. It takes quite a while to go back up the hill so that’s not really an option.
This dungeon is completely awful as a Follower Dungeon.
I really want to like this instance because it’s an interesting idea, but the pathing, directions, and other mechanics make it extremely complicated.
I realize I might suck at the game, but the final boss is nearly impossible to complete reasonably.
Path is horrible, entire instance is incredibly unclear.
Just did it first time and was coming to find this post, you guys didnt disappoint, its terrible.
i won’t even do randoms - i will queue for everything except dawn. whatever gear is in there i can live without. i tried twice, i am not going in again. big nope.
its really confusing in what you are even supposed to do, not a good design
