He has not been a part of WoW’s team in years but like him or hate him he has had a profound impact on Warcraft’s lore. Plus he made the whole “faction favoratism” blog years ago that still applies to WoW now.

the biggest hit to this game was when kaplan left for overwatch and ghostcrawler left for league of legends
mostly kaplan, he really drove the ‘this must be fun for players’ side of the design leadership
Ion’s team of diablo devs don’t even seem to ask that question, they just create tedious grinds, put a big reward behind extremely high repetition of that grind, and then call it a success when most players did it for lack of any other feasible choice

He’s been the soul and passion of Hearthstone since Ben Brode, putting a whole lot of personality into the presentation, everyone else has been pretty dull.

Kosak is what made Cataclysm what it was. He was also who made Garrosh who he was(along with Christie Golden).
Afrasiabi and Kosak’s conflict in writing affected WoW’s quality.
Now that Afrasiabi is fully in charge and has finished his ideal version of MoP we will probably see what his vision will be without interference from anyone but Fan Complaints!

What they did to Westwood was a crying shame. I loved those games and I loved Earth and Beyond.
