Darkspear Troll Heritage Armor Set Looks Terrible

I think a lot of it has to do with the people they’re putting on this task, if they had someone who actually knows the Darkspear working on this set they could have made this epic with very little extra effort. It’s like I always say it only takes a few extra pennies to fly first class. Unfortunately Blizz won’t spare a single extra penny and insists on coming in under budget every time.

Budgeting is interesting because when a budget is made it accounts for profit and yet coming in below budget is always the goal, don’t get me wrong I get wanting to optimize profit but at the cost of quality just makes you a crummy company.

Quality and Price are the two pillars that define a business. If price is high and quality keeps dipping your reputation dips with it, that’s why Blizzards rep is in the dumps, if the game cost next to nothing the lack of effort wouldn’t really be a problem since expectations would be much lower.

Maybe you should write Billy boy a letter asking him to fix the set see if he cares :joy:

I think I’ve made my feelings pretty clear about Ol’ Bill, I wouldn’t write that guy a letter. Not even if there was fire!

Wait are you saying you don’t enjoy being left in a corner, pulled out occasionally, clowned on then put back in the corner and given some goofy dumpster fire of a clown suit to wear?

Weird I’d have thought everyone would be stoked to pay for that.

Once you’ve already paid them this is what the business model becomes, while they’re still trying to sell you the product they always put their best foot forward.

Yup, you can see it everywhere even in the tuning for Classes and Raid Bosses. Re-using tier set bonuses and appearances. It’s almost like fleecing an addict.

Shockingly, no. I’m not thrilled to get such a treatment. xD

I was looking forward to this set for a very long time, the story line and the armor set didn’t even graze the bottom of what I would consider decent.

Yup, like the cinematic for BFA, or the that Darkshore cinematic where Malfurion chokes that Troll. Echo Isles getting attacking again and again. For some reason it’s all good for the Trolls to be a punching bag over and over but they aren’t going to be getting a Night Elf style redemption story I’ll tell you that.

Malfy is lucky he didn’t meet my troll. Because then this meeting would end up fataly for the Stormrage. :rage:

Straight up, I’ve solo killed all of the Alliance Faction leaders with 0 buffs and right now I’m nearly 100% sure I’m the only one who has Solo killed Turalyon. Guarantee you I man handle Malfurion just like I did Tyrande.

Don’t remind me, I was really hoping to see a Darkspear or Amani in the Warcraft movie the CGI would have made them look so menacing!

That’s funny, I went back and checked the video it is you, I remember seeing that Turalyon fight when you did it.

Aww they would have been so cool and evil looking! Glimmering in the firelight with all their creepy voodoo going on, and Zul’Jin! That would have been epic.

Yup. Patiently waiting since 2018 and this is what we get. It’s such a massive let down. It’s like they’ve never seen trolls in concept art. All we want is to be able to make our character look like them. We want to show off our Darkspear pride. We want color! Why is brown featured so heavily in both variants?

We want a decent rush’kah. The cloth mask is a good idea, too, but make it a separate. Even if we #freethenose, I think the combo mask was a strange choice. I don’t think a nose sticking out between them will look good. Give us one or the other. Or do both, but do them separately. You know, like all troll the troll masks ever depicted in artwork. The heritage set is not the time to experiment. It’s the time to deliver the iconic look. Give us those before making hybrid masks.

This image has been representing trolls since 2004:

All I’ve ever wanted was to dress like him, but with a sweet rush’kah mask to go with it. A wooden one that I can use as a mail wearer. The red kilt we got, unfortunately, has metallic gray trim that matches absolutely nothing else jungle trolls wear, and of course the belt is both way too small and still clips into the leg. If it was at least red and gold, it would match other troll armors better, but the belt piece needs to be brought forward and scaled up. It’s embarrassingly small.
