I was expecting so much more. It just looks bland, not at all close to how colorful Vol’jin was (RIP). Also my biggest gripe is the shoes, like all shoes made for the non-troll characters in the game it looks goofy when it’s bulging upwards like a long boot like that when it doesn’t even have a base (sole). It should’ve been like a flat shin wrap or something if they weren’t gonna give us shoes or sandals.

Yeah they just made a post showcasing it on their YouTube asking which Set people like better Troll or Draenei, they’re already censoring some of the negative feedback. What a pitty, Trolls have arguably the coolest cultural armor, and they just squandered a golden opportunity for an easy win.

I think it’s even worse than the Draenei set, I don’t care for either, these aren’t even passable they’re just patently bad.

The heritage set doesn’t make me optimistic when it comes to questline.
I saw datamined Lukou and it’s Draenor podling -_- so not even native azeroth specie, and title is was wrong ‘Loa of Regeneration’ while it should be Loa of Healing and respite’
In fandom Lukou was functioning as beautiful troll female, that was believed to grant trolls their regenerative powers, but most of all she was meant to be very compassionate over the fate of trollkind. She was meant to bring rains to give them said respite, but also to mourn over their fate. A true benevolent Loa. And to turn her to a Podling is such an affront…
This questline is the only thing that trolls had going for them in 2 expansions.
(I guess you could count Vol’Jin’s questline in SL, but it’s more a story of one NPC, rather than playable faction and what they’re up to).
And nothing more visible on the horizon. Damn.

That’s super discouraging and unfortunately I’m not optimistic either, they’re just trying to pump this out with all efforts going towards TWW. Not the kind of quality I expect to see for the price.

Yeah this is comically bad. They couldn’t even stretch the mask for the male trolls, if you look closely the reason it only goes between the tusks might be that it looks pretty normal on the females

Honestly the red set is pretty much identical, what a blunder.
It’s just a recolour, But I guess you meant whole different color palette. Te red set in WoW head was meant to be related with ‘the Horde’ theme. So You have red and silver.
I looked up the masks you mentioned from WOD, I’m really glad they’re being added although they could have picked better ones, the game is a better place with more Troll masks. Shame they couldn’t put anything comprehensive together for the heritage set though.
Yea I agree the more masks the better… but I just expected something better, something that was made purposefully for trolls. I’d rather if the additional 2 options would be Rush’kah and headscarf (that goes under the nose).
And we will get that instead. I don’t know how it’s gonna work with troll male face and tusks. The Zandalari ones were profiled in the way that Tusks slips right in between, but with the design of these masks I expect clipping issues.
Or that they’d do like they did with Draenei head sloth- just removes the tusks if they clip.

Honestly the face scarf is the only location where clipping would be fine. the tusks are supposed to poke right through it anyway, what we got here was just an insult.

I’m really disappointed they’re just going to shoehorn these through and pretend they’re fine. If someone doesn’t look at the WoWHead sets that show them from all angles all they see is those deceptive images Blizz posted where at first glance it looks like they’re fine. The issues become apparent when viewed from the side.

Yeah the image they chose for their Youtube promo post was a front facing lady Troll. Very telling, they know how bad this set is.

Ngl, not 100% sure what splash art is. They made a community post asking which set players like better then hid like 70% of the feedback.

I gave my 3 cents there.
And lol they used sand troll skin. Which reminds me how they didn’t bother to do it properl and offer a nice quest chain to actually unlock Farraki skin.
