Darkmoon Faire. No skills up since 8.0.1

August 5th. Pre-BfA patch 8.0.1.

Please fix the Darkmoon Faire. None of the profession quests are granting any skill points for any profession no matter what level the profession happens to be at on any character.
I'm seeing the same thing on multiple professions.
same thing happening to me as well across multiple toons
Same, no prof credit. Also, can't open a ticket in game either.
I got skill-ups on this toon, but none of her vanilla skills were maxed.
Did the quest for the last 5 skills for enchanting for this guy and got 0! plz fix!
Darkmoon Daggermaws are nearly impossible to fish up now, since you have a max of 300 classic fishing, or 100 for every other expansion.
The only profession increase is available if you skill is below 300 (vanilla). Any other expansion profession skill didn't increase or get reward (+5 skill) from darkmoon fair quest.

Now, that need to be rename to Darkmoon Unfair ;)
Yes, I would be interested to hear from Blizzard if this is intended or a bug.

I purposely stopped leveling my Legion LW and BS at 95 with the intent to max them out via the DMF this week. Need 100 to craft the mounts and was hoping to avoid the cost of mats/recipes to get those last 5 points.

I’m stuck at 95 on leatherworking got the same reason. Blizzard fix this!
I got a response from a ticked about this I opened, It seems the GM did not even read my Issue... Here is the answer I got

XXX
Quest name: Putting Trash to Good use
Issue: I got 0 skill points for enchanting... still maxed everything but Legion, still at 105 (I'm a Blood Elf)

Blizz XXXX
Greetings XXX, how are you today?

Game Master XXXX here.

The Battle for Azeroth professions updates have removed the general skill bar. Going forward, crafting a recipe from an expansion will grant points towards that expansion's progress. These points are no longer cumulative. =)

The break-down for skill points is as follows:

- Classic - 300 points
- Burning Crusade - 75 points
- Wrath of the Lich King - 75 points
- Catalcysm - 75 points
- Mists of Pandaria - 75 points
- Warlords of Draenor - 100 points
- Legion - 100 points
- Kul Tiras and Zandalar goes up to 150

If you did not have 700 or more skill points as of Legion, your profession points for Legion may show as if they dropped to 1. This is because the profession window will always show the bar most appropriate to the character's level; in this case, characters level 100-110 will see the progression bar corresponding with Legion.

Its working as intended, you just have to level up your enchanting. ^^

I hope you have a great day XXX and if anything else comes up we'll be here. o/

That can't be true. I did get 5 points in Legion tailoring. It brought me from 95 to 100 legion. For enchanting, I was at 95 of 100 legion and it did nothing....

My mage did her enchanter she is 80/100 and she didn't get any skill points for doing DMF...same goes for her cooking it was 97/100 and no 5 skill points.
Another huge stuff-up in this pre-patch.

Either fix this broken mess or remove subscription fee during the time when you expect paying customers to do your testing.
I have Mining, JC, Bsmith, LWork, Ench, Inscrip, and Alch sitting at 95 on various toons and busted at least 50k if not 100k gold to power level them to that point. Please fix this or I'll basically have to buy a wow token to powerlevel them from 95 to 100 before BFA launch due to 1000 year wait on world quests and stupid RNG drops on yellow patterns from 95-100, thanks.
I submitted a ticket on this issue and received the following response from Blizzard:
Since the restructuring of professions, these profession quests only grant levels to Classic Professions. It is unknown whether or not this is a bug, but just in case, I have submitted a bug report on my end so that we can get this issue tracked properly. However, I will also encourage you to submit a bug report from your end as well.

So basically not known if bug or intended. If you completed a quest and didn't get skill points, submit a bug request.

Personally, I doubt this will be fixed for this round of Darkmoon.
Glad to see your response at least contemplated this might be a bug. In another thread on this same topic, a couple people posted the responses to their tickets. Those responses were "working as intended", so no points for you.
I think they just don't know how to fix it, so they're not bothering. 'Working as intended' is a joke. They have no reason to take something like this away, just to make people angry. As if they're trying to promote classic content, hah!

To me it just looks like an oversight that wasn't picked up in the testing phase. It's really annoying, to put it mildly.
Blizz says it's working as intended. :(

------
DARKMOON FAIRE PROFESSION QUESTS DO NOT INCREASE SKILL
Not a bug: With the changes to professions in 8.0, Darkmoon Faire skill quests count only towards classic profession levels.
------
Its hard to believe that this is what is intended ...

They just removed one of the nicest parts of the Faire very unceremoniously without announcing it ahead of time... feels unintended
