why is the damage meter so bad? I know that it is an initial iteration but it’s been 2 months, when is the next iteration coming?
how many times was the spell casted?
what was the max, min, avg damage of each spell?
how many times did I get a proc?
who was the damage done to?
I miss details, I took that for granted T_T

Yeah I’ve gotta judge my build based off “feel” instead of actual numbers. It’s both refreshing and irritating at the same time. Regardless, I don’t think anyone thought details was what was making new players intimidated

Losing Details SUCKS for all content. Was an incredible tool.

In reality sim C and raidbots can just tell you what stats/talents to run anyway. But it was nice being able to see how close you could get to those sim numbers and a better breakdown to see where you are messing up or doing well.
Doesn’t have a way to account for pvp modifiers so it’s not completely accurate.

Is there a way to upload arena games to warcraftlogs? You can see all that stuff there from dungeons/raids, I dont see why it wouldnt technically be possible. The archon app even automatically uploads logs for you
All they had to do was copy the old details code by code. It’s not like the creator of details can sue, it’s blizzards game.

No hyperbole, but the people designing the game don’t actually play it. If they did, they would understand the importance of functional and usable information.
There as been a concerted effort to remove and obscure information from the player for awhile now.

I really wish blizz would do 3 things and call it a day.
- Let us fully customize what buffs/debuffs we see on nameplates.
- Throw healers/casters a bone with a kick tracker.
- Make the default damage meter just a details clone.
I’d be ecstatic.

Since you all can do it so much better go do it?
This argument doesnt work when we already had something much better literally months ago. Blizzard intentionally made it impossible to do it better by making everything a secret value

Blizzard went out of their way to prevent the community from continuing to do it better.

Go work for blizzard? I’m sure you have countless MRs into the base of details lol
They are going a different route than the original plugin design. You may think it was better but did you ever actually look at that stuff? Some of those plugins were throwing countless exceptions that were being swallowed in the background and not presented to you. I’m not sure if that had an impact or not to performance but I say let them cook if in couple years it still is garbage then complain you’re literally 2 months in.
Also just cause it had a feature, does not mean it was something you absolutely had to have to play the game.
I think I read somewhere that that actually is the problem, they would have to buy the rights to use the addon or something other, idk I’m not a lawyer
