I got off the game last night around 9:15 pst. It’s now 11:25 AM and my new dailies aren’t showing up except for the ones I didn’t do yesterday. I thought they reset every morning.
If you are talking about DF world quests, those reset on Tuesdays once a week.
Tuesdays and Fridays with DF, I believe! Some that last for the whole week reset bi-weekly.
The regular dailies. Been playing 18 years and never saw this happen before. Dailies were always there every morning.
With the exception of the Aylaag group in Ohn’aran Plains as those are only once per encampment spawn, which dailies aren’t resetting?
All of them except the ones I didn’t do yesterday, like 3-4 of them.
Which zone are we talking about? Are you able to name or describe a few?
It changed with df.
The only quests that reset daily are the Aylaag Centaur quests in Ohn’aran Plains and the Tuskar fishing dailies. World quests reset on Tuesday and Friday.
These ones don’t reset until the camp moves. You can do them Tuesday and then Wednesday again when they move, but not again until the following Saturday when they move again.
So dailies aren’t dailies anymore? Weekly and Bi-weekly then. It’ll take more time to get rep achievements.
You haven’t clarified yet which daily quests you’re referring to so it’s hard to be sure. “All of them” doesn’t help us because they don’t all follow the same rules, nor whether you mean world quests instead of daily quests.
Just daily’s not weeklys, like go out and do them and the next morning they reset, get your rep. I didn’t do 4 weeklys/dailies yesterday, I did the rest of them in all of DF. I have the same 4 showing up today that I didn’t do yesterday. No more are showing up today.
I think the disconnect is that you are conflating world quests with dailies that start with a blue exclamation point. World quests may have functioned effectively as dailies in the past, but not for a few expansions now. They had their own duration during BfA and Shadowlands, and for Dragonflight, they were changed further to rotate every three or so days.
The battle pet world quest does reset daily, if that helps?
There are a couple of marked fishing areas that have several daily quests in each area to do.
there are other ways to gain rep.
A recent change to World of Warcraft’s daily quests has been the very simple fact that they’re no longer daily , transitioning with Dragonflight into a bi-weekly reset that offers players more comfort in how they choose to allocate their time. Heck I’m on about 8 hours a day and I have time to do dalies, blows that they stopped them because other people can’t deal with dailies everyday.
Looking through the thread, I do think there’s quite a bit of confusion regarding terminology. Hopefully this handy chart helps explain the differences.
Type of Quest | Icon(s) | Description |
---|---|---|
World Quest |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
A rotating series of quests that are active in specific areas of the map. In Dragonflight, these quests reset every 3 days. These are NOT picked up from an NPC! |
Daily Quest |
![]() ![]() |
Picked up from an NPC and is repeatable every day. This quest does reset daily. |
It all pretty much just boils down to: If you pick up a quest from an NPC and the exclamation mark is blue, it’s a Daily Quest. If you pick up a quest by simply entering an area, it’s a World Quest (Bonus Objectives also do this).
That chart isn’t quite accurate anymore. For instance the centaur camps use the blue exclamation mark icon but they are only repeatable every few days, after the camp moves.
I think shifting the terminology to something like “repeatable quests” would help in the future. Or even giving the not-quite-daily quests a different colored icon.
