Like my wintergrasp defending post, i will be bumping this post every day until rets are nerfed.
Here is a short list on this disgusting class
-Obscenely broken burst on a short cooldown
-Invulnerability
-Huge Damage absorbing shield
-Bop
-Lay on Hands
-5 second stun on a short cooldown, no setup or skill required
-Word of glory critting 15k heals
I’d really like it if Blizzard would have the same standards for what is acceptable in PvP in regards to every class. Why is a ret allowed to have 50 get out of jail free cards and ridiculously broken burst damage, yet rogues got their damage gutted and die in a stun? You guys and your double standards were all in your feelings about rogues killing someone in a stun, why is it okay for a Ret to be this broken with no significant changes?
One of three scenarios must happen in PvP for this disgusting class.
- nerf wings to 3 minutes like shadow blades
- increase forbearance duration to double or even triple the duration
- sweeping nerfs to their damage and self healing.
Warriors are up there as well, and right below them on the “obnoxiously broken” tier list is WW monks. But none are as broken as Rets are. It just kills me that a class so simple to play has this much damage and utility, and eject buttons to get out of death situations

-Skill Capped has placed Rets as their most OP s tier melee spec in season 1 thus far, calling their burst “Borderline Illegal” and their word of glory heals “Basically Lay on hands”
-Even top rated arena players are recognizing how busted this spec is.

I’m probably going to use my shadowlands boost on a Paladin tbh, i have to abuse how absolutely disgustingly broken they are right now. Been on character creation screen for about 20 minutes coming up with names
“Bustedclass” “HerpDerpRet” “Buttnmashr” all ones ive thought about using lmaoooo, i cant decide. I just want to fit in with the rest of the rets who think they’re good because of over tuning.

How exactly did rogues get gutted? One spell was nerfed by 50% just switch to night fae.

This isnt all they did. They also nerfed cold blood, shadowblades and nightstalker.

Both of their 1 minute CD burst talents were nerfed and as far as I’m aware, they are no longer recommended picks.
Really, you can name any spec and I’d be happy to jot down a quick list of their benefits alone without the context of their shortcomings to make it sound stronger than it really is. It’s not very hard.
You really can’t talk about what the class does well without also mentioning that it has bar none the worst mobility of any class in the game and extremely limited access to snares, unlike most/all other melee.

This guy is 100% right and everyone else should ignore this kid who created this topic, from my perspective Rogues do need additional nerf in PVP to put them back in place and keep their mouth shut

just disarm them to see if they blow any cooldowns to regain their weapon (especially during avenging wrath). if they dont they just flail around for 6 seconds i guess.

The problem with paladins is that every novel niche they could occupy as a melee DPS spec is already taken. What you’re then left with is neither fun to play against, nor as.
You basically roll a dice and if Paladins have no CD’s available, they’re screwed and if not, you’re screwed.

Oh my god a 4% nerf to nightstalker, a FIX to cold blood, and a 10% nerf to shadowblades. Wow so unplayable!

I find these daily reminder posts really unhelpful. They’re more to satisfy your ego than they’re meant to bring attention to any issue.
If you have an issue write it up and leave it be, much like the person who presented a well thought out post in the state of Mistweavers in PvP. That thread has naturally stayed alive not because it was boosted daily but because it was well written and well received.

…considering shadowdance outside major 3m cooldowns does like 12k dmg and boomkins can do that damage all day in 5 seconds, heal to full health and pop bear form with thorns while ccing half a team, yes.
Oh and the uber skilled convoke button.
Rogue damage is not top tier at all. Stop with the lying.

It’s ok, Lin. Rogues will never be right on these forums. Everyone comes here to QQ about the situations where we have everything going our way and they have no way to defend.
Better just to let them come here to QQ and drop them in the game in silence, like rogues are meant to. GL to you.

Its honestly so frustrating. I just left a 2s where vs arms/rshaman he did over 2.5x my total damage and sat defensive stance all game while overpower was critting me for 3k. Overpower. MS 9 to 13k. Executes for 10k.
My shadowstrike was hitting this guy for 2000 damage on a CRIT while in defensive.
godddddd its annoying.
I was like 1900 mmr before i got these super skill comps arms r shaman or prot pal ret or prot pal arms where they just derp around and practically cant lose. The level of outplay to land a kill on a 39k prot pal with 5 lives while im doing 15k on a maximum shadowblade burst…its just flatly not fair.
I just do bgs now because arena isnt even kinda fun for me anymore.

Rogues need more nerf aswell. I still see people initiating on me and deleting my hp bar in 2 seconds (sub rogues ofc)

Totally agree. Totally understand. Its super frustrating to see players still asking for nerfs when so many other things are way better right now, but I would try not to let it get to you or argue too much. You’re never gonna convince anyone else that you’re not a fotm faceroller who just wants to win by facerolling.
Hopefully all the other outliers will get tuning in the near future. I’m still gonna playing arena cuz I want the mount, but its gonna be slow going.
