Cyrce's Circlet

That doesn’t explain why they need 2 though.

I was already going to play 6 weeks to increase the ilvl and unlock flying. Why make me wait another 3 to even want to use the thing in the first place?

You didn’t think they would actually allow you to have fun with the ring on week one did you? You thought they would just timegate the item level and not the gems themselves?

Dumpster fire dev team.

N00b trap, no. Casual Trap, maybe.

There’s is the concept of “weaponized incompetence” that seems to plague some aspects of this game. Have we not seen the initial implementation of the Anniversary Event and the pre-patch Memory grind?

I wouldn’t be surprised that Blizzard will buff the ring again, just like they did right before the ring being released on live servers.

Don’t mistake grind requirements going down over time. That’s just natural?

Your entire post is an outright delusional copium-filled statement of imaginary things you created in your head. They didn’t put it in this patch and have several interviews regarding how great this ring was supposed to be and how it would carry into the next tier of raiding if they meant it to be for “casuals who only do delves hurr durr”. That was never the stated goal or reasoning behind this item. It was buffed yesterday with the statement of “Our goal here is to make the ring a clear choice for the remainder of Season 1, as well as keeping it relevant in Season 2, where it should compete with Heroic raid gear and be replaced by drops from the Mythic raid and high M+ dungeons.” Not a single solitary mention about it only being for players who engage in delves, by the contrary it is clearly described as an item for those who do M+ and raid.

Then you are at a loss, or you refuse to sit back and digest information give to you.

Whatever reason I give you, you won’t be satisfied because it doesn’t matter: you don’t want the time gate. Same here. I want to be able to grind out to my hearts content at my own time.

We just have to deal with the time gate until some executive in Blizzard tells them nerf it because of bottom line.

Your reasons don’t make sense, there is no world where a 642 ilvl ring shouldn’t be good. You’re just defending really indefensible issues with it.

I know your role is supposed to be a contrarian, which I like about you, but you cannot ignore the changes they did to the pre-patch memory grind and the Anniversary Event. There’s blue posts on these forums and patch notes about it.

Sure I can.

Grinds tend to be come easier over time. just like content.

It’s like… core to their design philosophy.

And occasionally, they gut something like remix frogs.

The ability to get something first is not a penalty.

Because the information you gave is horsecrap, pure and simple, and clearly at odds with developers own stated goals.

I am not defending anything, I am just finding it hilarious that people still haven’t learned from DF.

Like people fail on pattern recognition and that they fully believe Blizzard PR teams right out of the gate.

Or you all could be raging because you wholesale believed Blizzard and applied a standard that wasn’t even there.

Right, getting something first isn’t a penalty. The grind naturally goes down over time.

When the said company alters the grind for whatever reason, it changes the rules.

Like I said before: I prefer the grind and not time gating.

Quite the opposite. Players saw the pattern months ago when the ring was revealed to be nothing more than a Copy/Paste of the Forbidden Reach ring knowing full well how bad that was.

Or you could be spouting nonsense in an effort to feel superior to everyone else while failing to realize the players have every right to be upset over the continuing trend of missteps made by Blizzard and its ability to produce worthwhile content that doesnt die on the vine 30 mins after it goes live. Forbidden Reach, Zaralek Cavern, and now this recycled BFA island with a badly redone Annulet “carrot” to get people to play.

ITT: people mad that catch-up gear that you get as a participation award is catch-up gear. It’ll get better when you (are able to) put in the work to grind out the better gems

You mean the ring that launched BIS for half the specs in the game and only got stronger with more buffs? The ring that’s entire power budget was available day 1 of the patch?

That ring?

Please show us where it says this is catch up gear. I have never seen an item that was out right called an across the board Best in Slot by the devs used as a “catch up” item. Players clearing Mythic Queen this tier right now are in need of a “catch up” item? What are they catching up to?

you sound fun

keep it as-is so I don’t feel the need to go for it. ty
(in blizz fashion they will wait a week of live beta, then buff it, like in recent memory, the bronze acquisition at the anniversary event).

The fact that this is a mid-phase patch and the history of mid-phase patches throughout the game’s lifespan?

And it will be

Now, if you wanted to say something about the time gating of the ring I’d probably agree, but as far as the ring itself goes it does everything it needs to do
