Last night i got my gear ranking on the cypher to 2/6. So how I thought it worked was the cypher gear you get levels with your cypher, how some in my guild read it was after you get 2/6 or 3/6 ect the gear drops at a higher rank. Either way, this morning after the reset going into the game at 2/6 cypher rank my world quest reward for a ring was still 233, so what is happening? Anyone getting the same results anyone getting 236 or higher drops yet?

I have the issue too. The little bonus on the gear is increasing (Mount speed, for example, goes from 10% to 12%), but the ilvl is still 233.

Same here. Just hit rank 2 and none of my cypher gear upgraded in ilvl. It appears to be bugged. Also the tooltip says the bonuses are increasing but they actually aren’t. I tested the speed boots and it was still 10% even though it said 12%.

On the tooltip it is, but it’s still only giving the 10% on foot and mounted speed bonuses.

Sad to say this system is beyond broken and maybe by design. I hit 3000/6000 this morning, this did upgrade the item from my daily (not turned in when i hit 3k) to 239. The rest of the cypher gear in my bags still 233. Also doesn’t seem to be upgradable in any way.

I’m having the same issue, currently sitting at Cypher Equipment Level 2/6 and none of the new Cypher gear I’m getting is upgraded, neither has the older cypher gear that I have in my bags, which may or may not be intentional.
Either way I’ll keep my gear until its fixed.
Also having the same issue. Super frustrating, worthless gear system Blizz please address if this is intended or not.

Im 2/6 and 3187/6000 with the enlightened and its still at ilvl 233 but the equip bonus has been upgraded but not the ilvl.
2/6 cypher equipment. 3270/6000 rep. Ilvl still 233. my gloves “cheat death perk” tooltip changed to 54 minutes instead of 60 minutes, but the debuff triggered on death is still 60 minutes.
Edit: can also confirm that taking off the gloves, putting different ones on, and then putting the “cheat death” gloves back on removes the hour-long debuff and replaces it with the 10 min debuff. In other words, the cheat death perk really only has a 10 min cd in between its potential uses.
2/6 and 3000+ rep with nothing upgraded here either. Hyperbole but need a PhD to understand some of these 9.2 systems
also just turned in the patterns within patterns and got 233 loot
Just to add along, I’m also having the same issue. Everything, existing and new, are all remaining 233.
Well i guess we will find out tomorrow if it’s tied to the campaign at all. I have a strange feeling that it is.
I figured it would only affect the ilvl of gear that drops after you get the new rank.
I’ve gotten items after the rank and it still is 233.

Looks like i have a WQ that rewards a 239 ilvl cypher gear so it looks like it might take some time to take effect?
How long since you upgraded? I upgraded day before yesterday (I think) and WQ that just popped for me still says 233 
Have you researched the entire first row at the Cypher? Just trying to compare notes - I’ve not researched an entire row yet.
