Cyclone...?

Does anyone else feel like cyclone is a bit too strong of an ability? Baseline, 6 seconds initially, not dispellable, doesn’t break on accidental cleave, leave the target in place for repeat cyclones or follow up cc, druid can still do damage (or convoke, lol) if kicked, etc…

Atleast you cant blink around pillars casting it…

True, but why do you need to blink if you can just bash, incap, root, ursol’s or typhoon into the open into a cyclone?

in the real world cyclones aren’t stationary

make that thing ping pong me around

Just bring back Nagrand tornadoes.

In the real world being executed means you die.
35% execute should insta kill you.

Just line the cyclone 4head

One side’s perspective.

It can be mass dispelled.

Doesn’t break on cleave because you can’t take damage in it. Would you rather it be like fear and “break” on dmg?

Leaves them vulnerable to repeat clones however it can’t be overlapped meaning if the guy is spamming a button, he will get it off before the next clone hits. Obviously not the case with fear, poly, etc.

Druid can not convoke if kicked. They’re both nature schools. But yes he could starfire/surge or moonfire you. This has nothing to do with clone and it just mentioning they have multiple schools. Like ele, mage, etc.

Just showing the other side. Not saying clone is bad. It’s just unique to other ccs as most are and I don’t really feel like it’s a problem. It’s also only a 25 yd range at best (boomy).

clone is imo one of the higher skill cap ccs in the game so please leave it alone

Clone is fine. It’s a long cast , and if you interrupt it we lose access to half our damage spells & all heals.

It also takes some skill to chain clones. Even when done perfectly, there is usually a small gap you can cast an instant spell . Things like sephuz , orc racial, relentless trinket also throw off our timings. We also have haste from star lord and random procs which change the timing . And your teamate can also stop the second clone much easier than poly since druids can’t blink during cast & also they can’t overlap.

The new pvp talent giving us clone with a .85 (.7 with haste) cast negates most of these issues and will be a problem I agree .

I love having clone, but it can have some drawbacks to using it (from a resto perspective). It leaves you vulnerable to interrupts where if you get kicked you can’t heal. It requires us to stand still for the 2 second cast in humanoid form which leaves us open to more counter CCs that we’re not normally susceptible to like sheep and hex. Having to stand still is counter-intuitive to our survivability since it partly relies on us staying mobile. And as mentioned above, it doesn’t have a 40yd range like a lot of other CCs.

If you’re playing WoW do you even have any to begin with?

Clone is fine
Incap roar into Clone is probably more of an issue. I feel like they should either DR or incap roar shouldn’t be a thing.

Least roar doesn’t remove dots and will insta break unless you’re totally clean. It could be like db—>poly :stuck_out_tongue:

Fair, but I also don’t think DB should be a thing, either haha

Cyclone was really strong in its first introduction all the way back in TBC because there just weren’t that many answers to punish it really. It’s still a pretty good CC spell but there are drawbacks in that it’s a hard casted spell and the range is not great. If you use it wrong, you just give the enemy team DR and they can just run you down immediately when it ends, so it’s definitely not a brain dead op ability.
