Cyclone Needs a Nerf

I’m going to add to the pile of already-too-many posts about this subject - mostly because I want Blizzard to see it.

Cyclone needs a nerf. Most CC abilities from other classes are annoying at best, or if they are used properly, are a great gameplay tactic. I play a Disc Priest with not much maneuverability… and I’m constantly getting cyclone spammed in arenas now. Most cc abilities have some sort of trade-off that makes using them at the right time paramount. If I mind control somebody, my body is left behind to take damage. If I psychic scream somebody, I have a massive cooldown. But cyclone lasts almost as long as mind control and has no consequences. Either reduce the amount of time it lasts by one second, or make the cooldown a bit longer. I’m tired of getting cyclone spammed twice in a row, and then 15 seconds later having to deal with the same cyclone spam.

It’s so bad that druids will literally chase me around pillars, obstacles, and the entire map just to cyclone me because it’s more worth it for them to shut me down than to heal their team. When cc becomes the objective, rather than a perfectly timed aspect of gameplay, that’s when certain abilities need to be looked at.

needs to be 1-1.5s shorter or have a 15s cd for sure

i play bg blitz with a feral druid who spams cyclones all game. its so great and satsifying to watch their healers sit clones while their team dies.

its crazy how many druids never press it a single time

best cc in game by far imo and not even close u get value even if u clone “the wrong target”

there is no “wrong target” you are taking them out of the game entirely it doesnt matter lol.

Cyclone. Cyclone. Cyclone. Cyclone. Cyclone. Cyclone. Cyclone. Cyclone. Cyclone. Cyclone. Cyclone. Cyclone. Cyclone. Cyclone. Cyclone. Cyclone. Cyclone. Cyclone. Cyclone. Cyclone.

GladiatorLosSA when I’m facing a Druid in Arenas.

That’s the crazy thing is they can use it on any target and have some sort of decent effect. I had a Druid on the opposite team accidentally cyclone a mage on my team that I had just put pain suppression and shield on. Cyclone also negated any heals I put on that mage. I basically wasted those abilities and had to wait for my cooldowns to reset. Absolutely insane.

I don’t really have an answer to stuff like this. I think spammable cyclone is too much with the uptick of damage output. that’s as simple as I can put it.

if damage continues this route, put cyclone on a CD like repentance. this isn’t the least frictive path but it makes the most sense.

10 year ferals spamming cyclone to win games in 2s windows is a little much.

Cyclone is 20 yards, and the person being cycloned takes zero damage.

Seems pretty limited to me.

No nerf needed.

And all these complaints coming from a hunter? Sheesh…

good thing it doesn’t stop healing too or any cd usage on or by the target, that would be kinda excessive haha

This is literally a benefit for clone

This is also why it can be a good thing too though. This is quite literally why it’s so good sometimes. You can just clone the kill target because he got an external, and keep him cloned until the healer comes off Dr, to then CC the healer and kill the target that was immune to heals, once he comes out of the clone without the external.

I think the issue is fast clone. Clone has been around for ages and druids havent been mega s+ tier for 15 years straight because of clone. Rdrood being able to spam the best CC in the game, whilst being able to talent into multiple other CC’s is annoying cringey but the real issue is fast clone.

Increased haste on the best spamable cc in the game, on a class that stacks haste, s o fast that my cat couldn’t react to it, cringe.

why are you typing if you have zero clue wtf you’re talking about

like have you played a single game of arena

and deleted lmao

I had to turn that shiit off because of this. The female voices screams cyclone with more dramatic and urgent effect than other spells
