Cyclone is kinda busted

considering they did this to just about every other comparable cc in the game (e.g., Polymorph has existed for a longer amount of time than cyclone, or Blind, etc., and both are intrinsic to mage and rogue, respectively, yet those were changed).

The treatment of Cyclone was in-line with other hard-casted CCs that were 6 second durations pre-10.1 (e.g. Fear, Sleep Walk, etc.).

Not a single 6 second casted CC was reduced in duration in 10.1. Only the 8 second CCs were brought down to 6 seconds, equalizing them all.

If it’s your opinion that all prior 6 second CCs should be brought down to, like, 5 seconds, then fair enough, but that’s missing the point that Blizzard viewed the 8 second CCs as the problematic outliers to bring in-line.

It’s not. By those other ccs getting nerfed, the strength of cyclone in effect got a huge buff, and considering that it’s the best cc in the game, I feel that it should be tweaked a bit so that it isn’t hands-down better than every other cc in the game by a mile.

It has no cd, it has nothing to counter it aside from trinket and mass dispel (and acting as if it’s possible to completely shut down druids from casting it is laughable), it completely removes 1/3 of a team out of a game, on a regular cycle, and the range on it isn’t even that bad (lol at the druids trying to use its range to justify its strength).

Acting as if cyclone is perfectly fine is so disingenuous lol, just as disingenuous as holy paladins that claim that blessing of sac is perfectly fine.

While at it, the treants really need to be nerfed as well. Talents like this make the game into even more of a joke than it already is when npcs do the vast majority of a specs healing (or damage), and especially when npc-driven specs are S-tier rofl.

Rdruids malding over the idea that taking 1 second off of cyclone is a massive nerf/breaks their spec is the biggest omega lul I’ve ever seen

Fair enough to make this comment, but then I’d think that you would at least support reducing the duration

I have countless times. If they made it 5s I think that’d be fine. However I don’t think it’s also right to assume everything was balanced perfectly at their current durations and thus every single ability changed from then on has to be adjusted the same amount. Blizz said they wanted all casted cc at 6s and clone was already there. Just food for thought on a different perspective. Fear remained 6 as well. (Used to be 8 but that was like a decade ago)
