So in random BGs, as a resto Shaman, I am looking for a macro that combines tab and ctrl+tab depending on the target so that I only have to use one key instead of taking up two. If I have an enemy targeted, I would like it to cycle to the next enemy when pressed and if I have a friendly targeted, I would like it to cycle to the next friendly.
Thanks,
Untested:
/targetenemyplayer [harm]
/targetfriendplayer [help]
You didn’t specify what you’d like it to do if you press it when nothing is currently targeted, so it does nothing.

Having tested this. It works. But there is no way to switch between friends and enemies. So you’d either need to click on their name or have another button.
I did modify it slightly to work in Valdrakken, it doesn’t like targetfriendlyplayer and only works with targetfriend same for enemy.
It also won’t initiate a target if you haven’t already got something targeted.
Thanks, will try this tonight. I don’t mind clicking the first player (either friend or foe), I just want to be able to cycle through. Basically, it is for my Resto Shaman. I will be healing mostly and cycling through the friendly targets and casting whatever heal. but if I need to target a foe to hex, silence, or damage, I want to be able to cycle through the baddies. All with one key.
I use [tab] for friendly targeting, [middle mouse button] for enemy targeting and [F] to target my targets target.
But I also use Bartender for my action bars, which has auto assist and mouseover casting in its configuration.
Essentially, if I have a friendly targeted, any harmful spells I cast, will be cast on their target. If I have an enemy targeted, any heals will be cast on their target if they are friendly to me, or myself if not. Everything can also be cast with mouseover. Without any macros.
But then, I also use a Naga mouse, so I don’t have limited buttons.
