I need to speak to a customer service representative urgently about an account action on my paid wow account, but I can’t find a phone number anywhere and the old phone number I had seems to have been disconnected. I am in Australia. I have put in a support ticket but the issue is pressing for me and I’ve waited up all night since 8pm for a callback/reply and can’t seem to get a hold of anyone. Any help on this matter at all is greatly appreciated.
There is no # to call thats been discontinued a few years back whats teh issue maybe we can help.
You’ll have to wait. Nobody can expedite the ticket for you. I don’t think call-backs are an option currently, as many at Blizzard are working from home. Ticket times are sitting around 4 days currently.
I have been issued a 7 and a half month ban for using 3rd party software. No warning issued, straight up ban. I’ve been up half the night trying to work out what software they could mean, and the only thing I use that I can think may have set off their warden is a compiled (stand alone executable) AHK script that keeps my Netflix win 10 app window on top of any other windows. (I’m hard if hearing and can’t use picture in picture as the subtitles/closed captions stay with the main browser and not the pop-up window) the executable has no interaction with any other programs other than the Netflix applet, and I don’t have AHK itself installed on my computer at all. Even if this were the case, according to the post a few weeks ago regarding 3rd party software, I should have received a warning so that I would know not to use this particular item. I have to reiterate, it has no interaction with anything wow related, purely the windows 10 Netflix app.
If it is about an account action that you are appealing then there is never a way to appeal it by phone even when live calls are available. There is no method of appeal other than by ticket.
You don’t need to be at your computer waiting on a reply, they will not need to converse with you about anything. Account actions are not something that you can plead your case on or have a discussion about. Submit your appeal, you can include some brief information if you feel so inclined, but then it mostly will be them verifying that you’ve done what they think you’ve done and they didn’t make a mistake, not them considering your explanation of anything. They also tend not to clarify what exactly it is they caught you doing beyond the general description. You can typically appeal 2-3 times and have it checked by that many different sets of eyes before that’s the end and they’ll tell you it is upheld and they’ll not review it anymore.
Well im assuming u filed a apeal ticket so thats the apropriate way to apply you could also reach out to they maybe able to help with suggestions.
Thank you, I was not aware the response times were taking so long currently. I will try to get some sleep.
Thank you for your explanation, Tofflemire. I did include all information as well as the script which shows exactly what it does, I am mostly concerned because even if it was the script executable that caused the action, I have never received a warning in my 11 years plus of owning the account to say I can’t use programs that don’t interact with wow in any way, and would have stopped using it immediately if I knew it would affect my account at all.
