Customer Support Non-Existent?

I have several tickets that i have submitted and if i hover on the icon in-game, it says my tickets are expected to be answered in 33 days. WTF? I have problems now that need to be fixed now. One of the tickets i had to submit 2x because i boosted one of my toons and not all of their stuff was in their bags after and was missing and I can’t fix that myself and i looked at the item restore tool and i wasn’t able to fix it there either, so i 100% need the help of a GM and what does a GM do that picks up the ticket? He doesn’t bother resolving it, doesn’t send any reply at all and marks it as resolved and closes it. Are you kidding me? In any event, I need some help with the issues on the following tickets (I have more than one account and one ticket is on a different account): Ticket Number: US88387893, Ticket Number: US88317178, Ticket Number: US88366111, Ticket Number: US88366272. It really says something about Blizz when not only can’t i get any assistance, but that there are so many issues with the game that I have 4 open tickets, all for separate and distinct issues that i cannot resolve on my own.

Mind telling us what your tickets is about? The blues here are able to read them, but 9 times out of 10, it’s something the blues here can’t help with, like billing issues, item restore and the like.

More to the point, ticket times is about 2 weeks now as a lot of things happening all at once. So putting in a lot of tickets for things that GMs may be unable to help with could bloat the wait time.

Often times they will do this because you only need one ticket. Having multiple ones open only bogs down the system all the more. Putting more in doesn’t get your issue resolved any faster. They likely closed one (or more) and notated on their side of things that multiple tickets existed and they were compiled into the one.

Either that or depending on what the ticket was for, it might be something they cannot fix. If it’s a Bug, they cannot do anything with it. Devs fix bugs, but don’t answer tickets. GMs answer tickets, but don’t fix bugs. If you were asking them help push past a quest, that isn’t something they can help with either. Only in very rare and explicit cases when the Devs have given them the approval to help can they do that. GMs are not all-powerful, they have to follow the mandates and guidelines set to them.

The good news is ticket times are not 30+ days; they’re more around 1-2 weeks. That’s still unreasonably long, and Blizzard acknowledges that. It’s been kind of a “perfect storm” of issues - multiple new releases at the same time, a number of suspensions/bans, and people coming back to the game after a hiatus to find their account compromised or unable to find their characters.

If you cannot re-open the ticket, you’ll have to create a new one. Make sure you note that you opened a previous ticket and that ticket number. If you have already re-opened the ticket(s), you can edit them, which won’t affect your place in line.

Did you check your mailbox?

Hopefully the tickets were merged, 6 tickets are excessive. Ticket times are running about 2 weeks

that seems like an excessive amount of issues…

as for the boosted character, check their mailbox.

You actually have 3 - the oldest of which is 3 days 14 hours.

The bag issue - you may have noticed others experiencing that as well. Likely a bug, GMs really can’t help bugs, that is up to our Devs and QA to address.

The broken armor issues sounds very much like a UI issue. This is the first I’ve heard of that one. I’d suggest a full, proper, reset UI (which may or may not address issue number one). Move, rename or delete your WTF Cache and Interface folders while WoW is shut down. See if it helps.

Connecting to Twitch, you really shouldn’t be getting a 7 day cooldown on a new connection. That only kicks in if you were connected prior - and SWITCHED the connection - not reconnecting.

At the moment, most issues are getting handled within 2 weeks - providing it’s an issue a GM can address, of course.

If you any of you read my ticket, you would have read that I am not putting in multiple tickets for similar issues. Why do people on this forum bother replying when they are of no use whatsoever and all they want to do is dump on the original person posting? Don’t bother replying if you have nothing useful to add. I quote, “I have 4 open tickets, all for separate and distinct issues that i cannot resolve on my own.” 1. missing items after boost. 2. little man on my screen indicating need repairs, but don’t need repairs. 3. issues connecting twitch account for pet drop. 4. on another account of mine, three quests i’m trying to turn in won’t let me turn them in and i’m getting an error msg. so as you can clearly see now, i’m not bloating the ticket system. these tickets were submitted as they happened over the last week and they are not repeats - except for the one where the lazy GM closed my ticket for no reason and i put in a request to re-open it, which would make 5 tickets, 4 open and 1 closed. Don’t bother replying if you’re not a GM. Really. If i can’t fix any of these issues, other player’s with unwanted opinions that just dump on me due to assumptions, then they can’t fix it either. I posted to get a GM, not dumped on about something i haven’t done.

For this issue, check your equipped gear to see if any of the required levels were increased.

I had this issue on my ZT Pally and found that a pair of gloves I had just equipped prior to this second phase of the pre-patch starting were suddenly increased to a level beyond his current.

Thank you. I did the UI reset on the little man repair thing and it didn’t fix it. I have a strong feeling when the wait time is 2 weeks and the boosted toon is a bank toon, with all the AH posts, transactions, reposts, etc. it’s going to be a huge mess for any GM to sort through and locate any missing items. Ty again and you can close this post as you have answered as best as you can and these other people really aren’t helping and just dumping on me, assuming i have multiple tickets of similar issues. P.S. I have 3 accounts, and the 4th ticket, Ticket Number: US88387893, is for 3 quests that I’m unable to turn in on my 2nd account and the first 3 tickets are on my first account. so far no issues on my 3rd account :slight_smile:

I read your post. Anyone here with anything but blue text - we are your fellow players. You didn’t elaborate what your tickets were in reference to, I only shared that we have seen people with multiple tickets get one or more of them closed out and the multiple tickets sandwiched into one. Knowing that, I suggested it may be the reasoning behind your one ticket being closed.

At no point was it meant to be dumping anything on you and I’m sorry if that is how it came off? It was trying to work with what little data you offered to try and explain the reasoning behind it.

That being said, I’m glad Orlyia was able to help elaborate better than most of us could. Hopefully your tickets will be coming up soon and those that can be solved, will be without further hassle.

with all due respect, there are many people like you on this forum who think they know it all and take every chance they get to dump on posters so they can feel better about themselves. I provided so little info because, since i couldn’t contact a GM through the ticket system, i was trying to contact a GM through the forums who would be able to see all the info from the ticket numbers that i cited and i didn’t need to go into details. Common sense dictates that if you don’t understand something and require more info to understand, you’d ask for clarification instead of making assumptions, wait for that clarification and then decide if you had anything to offer to help resolve the issue.

you didn’t say this, you never mentioned “other people.” you were speaking directly to me in the first person. There’s also really no reason for you to have replied again, other than to get in the last word. Adding that you’re happy someone was able to clarify an issue for me does nothing to further resolve the issue. So please, again, just keep your unwanted comments to yourself. Let it go. I will not be reading any further comments in case you do post again and I have requested that the GM close this post as I have recieved the info I came looking for, so anything further you post, if at all, will not be seen by me.

Have a good day and try to fully understand a situation before you make assumptions and think you know the answer because all you do is frustrate the solution and cloud the way to it.

Tinybigz, you seem to misunderstand the purpose of this forum.

It is explicitly here for your fellow players, who take their own time to do so - to help when and where they can.

This really isn’t a CS contact point, although we SFAs do monitor it and also jump in to answer questions when we can.

You might be amazed how many questions our regulars here CAN help answer - simply because they’ve seen the issue come up so often - experienced it themselves - or seen our answers to it.

You don’t get to dictate who posts what in the forums. You only control what you post. It is a public forum. Any player with an account in good standing is permitted to post.

GMs don’t handle the forums. They are not part of the moderation team.

People post on their experience with issues. If you had clearly stated that your tickets were for different issues then maybe the responses would have been different.

One of my characters has experienced a mystery upgrading of armor, which now shows as “broken” because it’s become too high level.

I can’t even link the armory, because her armory shows all slots empty, even though she’s dressed.

Titanica - Blackrock
Level 17

Back slot: now requires level 18 (still equipped)
Waist slot: now requires level 18 (still equipped)

Item level jumped from low 20s, to 44.

There have been other reports of gear changing level in bug reports.

Some levels did indeed change - which may make for some odd things happening.

This was the first time I’d seen a report of it producing a broken icon, however.

When it happened to me years ago I had gear that was red when looking at my character screen, but it didn’t have the broken icon. Any character I have now that’s low enough for the issue to happen is wearing heirloom gear and I always forget to upgrade other slots until after I get flying.
