Plan on coming back for wrath classic though I’ve never used any addons ever playing wow is the curse forge a good one has anyone ever had any problems with it before. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I think there was an issue with blizzard and the overwolf client but it hasn’t effected my addons negatively. Someone more in the know should be able to give more info.
Since its pre patch addons are all sorts of wonky, mainly make sure you are using the wrath versions of your addons.
I don’t recommend installing curseforge’s client, not even the simple and supposedly clean one.
WoWUp works fine, but some addons are not available because the authors just upload them to curseforge exclusively, and you’d need to install them manually. The most important ones you can get with WoWUp anyways.

Have you used it lately? WoWup got kicked off the Curseforge apps database.
DBM, WA, Questie, Bartender and Nova’s addons are all available in WoWUp. I am good with it.
there are a bunch of add-ons that people would call important that are not available on wowup now that curse closed their public api.
Well too bad for them, I guess. I am still recommending staying away from any software made by overwolf.
this might be arguing semantics, but Curse Forge isnt made by Overwolf. It is built on top of Overwolf.

Of course it’s arguing semantics, the source is the same.
Using the curseforge client is also supporting the addon developers themselves monetarily.
If you want to use wowup, it’s a nice clean client, but throw a few bucks to the addon devs directly.
The client is totally fine, not overbearing, no spyware stuff etc. Overwolf had an insanely bad rep for sure, but this client seems just fine.
Wowup doesn’t work fine lol.
At least last time I used it 90% of my addon’s weren’t available for update.

this. WoWUp is garbage (imo) now that it can’t pull addons from CurseForge.
