For extra downloads in most cases, to get more funds I’m aware. However said addons still work even if you don’t update them, and usually addons only tend to break when big changes are introduced to game files. :3

That’s incorrect, anything for rested xp and Zygor require payment to use. Warcraftlogs is an in-game addon and allows you to upload directly from ingame ONLY if you have premium so that’s not just ‘third party stuff’ and Overwolf has Overlays for Warcraftlogs. Woops!
