Current M+ difficulty is not good for player retention

I’m a Healer, and there are plenty of other healers that just stopped doing Keys because its simply not fun. Its incredibly stressful, and you are at the DPS/Tanks mercy to kick the corrects spells, pops defensives when needed, use potions, and not stand in bad.

Current state of M+ you can’t fix mistakes anymore. You’re spending most of your time healing overtuned unavoidable damage, while babysitting the DH who doesn’t know where his character model is while he Blade Dances in poison. – Then he dies and blames you… so Toxicity is a part, but not the main reason why there “Isn’t Enough People”.

Sounds like a good reason for them to remove the weekly lockout on raids. Which is long overdue.

This is the sole reason I stopped playing priest.

I was astonished when informed that Blizzard had not moved Silence to the class tree, and it was still only in the Shadow tree.

I’m probably INCREDIBLY wrong, but Priest feels like the only class balanced around PvP where all the other are balanced around PvE. – I’m just making an observation.

I wouldn’t know.

A bunch of us aren’t balanced around anything at all, I know that much. :joy:

Priest is great in M+, but Blizzard really did a huge disservice to them by focusing on adding a ton of important poison dispels and kicks this season.

I agree. We have some of the best spot healing through Lightweaver.

Oracle has AMAZING damage output.

But, not having to heal through BRUTAL poison dots by removing it is much more efficient.

Yall are absolutely ridiculous.

  • You have a 2581 Rating
  • 6 of 8 Keys are ran with the same Tank
  • 6 of 8 Keys have a DPS DK
    – Most of them are the same of 2 DKs
  • 8 of 8 Keys have a Reso Shaman

Your Preferred Comp:

  • Warrior Tank (A Tier) - Currently No S Tier Tanks
  • Resto Shaman Healer (S Tier)
  • Death Knight DPS (A Tier) - Currently No S-Tier
  • Affliction Warlock (B+ Tier)
  • Random DPS Based on Dungeon Needs

So you’re using the Best Tanks, Best Healers, DPS Loaded with Utility, and then you say “We’re Ridiculous”?

You’re the guy, this guy is talking about…

if you knew that by sticking it out, you would still get the appropriate end dungeon rewards (no bonus gear but the right regular drops + crests, not nerfed crests), would you stick with it?

Every failed key is just made worse by people insta-quitting at the first sign of trouble. I normally am cool with sticking with it but it drags on me when I know I am getting absolutely nothing worthwhile with a net loss to repair gold.

Like I just wrote in another thread:

Class imbalance is a bigger factor than ilvl.

Only 16 Brewmasters in the world have timed even a single 12 key. Prot Paladins? 8.

Versus 114 Prot Warriors.

Any discussion of M+'s “difficulty” is pointless when class imbalance is this bad.

(And class imbalance in keys is REALLY BAD, right now.)

If you’re playing a stacked A- or S-tier comp, you’re essentially playing a different game.

I’ve never quit a M+, but I’ve literally watched a Tank insta-drop after a DPS dying to bad, not even a wipe.

part of me wishes i had mained warrior (when I was choosing in the first week) because of the insane amount of damage they can pump out. instead i chose BDK, which is fine I suppose, because I think frost and unholy and both in a better spot than fury and arms, but man, prot is just insane damage

100% Agree - I’m not asking Shaman’s to get nerfed.

I’d just like a little more tuning on spike damage and for other Healers to be brought up to Par with Shamans.

If you’re not going to give Priests Utility, you have to give them the HPS throughput to deal with mechanics other healers can avoid through removal, stuns, ect…

Tank imbalance is also atrocious.

In the big tank nerfs at the end of beta, Blizzard acknowledged that Brewmasters’ “overall magic damage mitigation is a little low compared to other tanks”.

So they nerfed our primary magic mitigation by 2/3.

Sir, if healers didn’t have to spend so much time healing unavoidable spikey BS damage. We could use that time to heal your Stagger… then you’d be fine.

Good in theory, but I remember back then the line I always got from healers was “nobody heals tanks anymore”. :sob:

This entire reply reads as:

“You’re foolish for trying to optimize your time by putting groups together to maximize success potential.”

I’m so beyond over the “everybody gets a trophy” crowd that I just don’t care anymore.

I’m done approaching these conversation with any level of decorum.

Every single expansion there’s just these sleuths of people that make forum posts listing excuse of excuse of external factors that “keep them from succeeding.”

Every expansion.

If the one thing in common in most keys you’re running that fail is you, then there’s one common denominator.

Stop making excuses. Stop blaming “a toxic community” for your own lack of progression and improvement, and just get better.

We fail 11’s, we don’t rush to the forums whining about the content being too hard. Our failures are directly tied to our misplays. Kick overlaps, screwing up mechanics, what have you.

Oh, it’s not just a feeling. If you time all 11 keys you can get top 0.1% (title range) atm. It’s just clear catering towards elitism to the detriment of everyone else
