Current Honor Rate is unrealistic, just like Cata Pre-Patch

Title says it all, We face the exact same issues in cata launch where honor costs were extremely high and did not make sense for players to test out their classes and earn end game gear that was just for enjoying pre-patch. Between The cost of this and the horrendous issues with scaling while pre-patch is going, We need to have some improvements.

I’m not sure if they know how many people only play PVP, but 3 weeks of this is painful.

1 cata dungeon gives me 500 justice points but 1 BG Win gives me 150 honor points … This dosent make sense

yeah cant convert justice to honor anymore either its terrible. ive done 10-20 bgs and got enough for one piece

They obviously do know, and its such a small amount they do not care.

If I remember right they did adjust honor gain for Cata prepatch when it had the same problem. Hopefully they’ll give this one the same treatment soon

Yeah it’s pretty horrendous honestly

Not worth grinding honor with the current rates, especially with the state of BGs with the horrible scaling. Buff honor gains blizz

Also plz throw in a Monk pvp set while you’re at it like you did for DK’s in WOTLK Classic

I don’t think they added it, unless by they you mean whoever was a dev when tbc was current, that brutal gladiator’s dreadplate set exists on retail and i don’t see any monk version for cata on here

they also removed the way to trade justice to honor aswell so you can’t even do that

I actually came here to post same thing - it’s horribly slow right now. Swapping mains right now for MoP. Was Rdru since TBCC, all the way thru Wrath and Catas. And going Ret for MoP. So I gotta get mogs. I got all full LFR from dungeon grinds, but I got like NO transmog for paladin lol

Just did a BoG and we won - and being #3 on overalla damage, hence insane number of KBs and assists, only got 200 honor for an approx 30m of a bg.

It’s crazy slow right now.

This logic could be applied in either direction though if its such a low amount of players - crank it up x100 then.

They did by like day 3 or 4 iirc.
But Wrath Prepatch honor farm was the best - it actually only took you like 1 day of grind at most to get full S3/4 and it allowed people to gear up all their alts.

I don’t really recall much outcry about it back then. Everone was happy with an accelerated honor gain (or cheaper item i dont exactly remember which one it was)

yeah its hella frustrating.

This is just how Catacylsm pre-patch was. Game devs never learn man.

Bgs need fixing bad.

The level/stat scaling and no bonus for random is just awful.

Pls look into the honor gain… its not fun winning loads of bgs to then realize you cant actually buy anything.

Exactly this. Honor is too slow atm, and the lack of a monk pvp set is a surprising oversight in how little I’m surprised by current blizzard being unable to address the details on things. In every other prepatch that’s added new classes to a faction/the game, there has been a filler pvp set created for them.

I think it’s interesting that you think the developers are the ones who didn’t learn anything.

I’m seeing a lot of posts made by people who didn’t cap honor (a measley 4000 or “8 daily random BG wins”) before prepatch, the thing you’re supposed to do before prepatch if you want gear afterwards.

The complaints here and on the forum are, frankly, bizarre. If you wanted gear, why weren’t you playing for the last several months where a season-spanning conquest cap was available in an active ladder, with a huge and consistent number of people spamming 2s with no gear because it was still 75x conquest per loss?

This is a window of time to be feeling out bugs, nuances, talents and glyphs, addons…

You are showing you dont understand the purpose of pre-patch by commenting what you did. It is designed to test spells, Gear/stats and incentivize players to engage in content so as to look for left over issues going forward. I infact honor capped all my toons and it was enough to buy 5 pieces of gear easily. But you are talking from a perspective where as every player doesn’t have a job. You can’t have pieces of gear take 8 hours to farm out. It was 36 honor to lose the last WSG. 151 for the win. That is the highest I’ve seen. If you don’t provide incentive, players will infact not take part in content.

This is incorrect. I had full honor cap when coming into Pre-patch

You’ve deliberately missed the point of what I’m saying. There isn’t a reason to not have all the gear you need to “participate” if you’re so interested in “participating”. Again: For months, there has been a conquest cap of I think around 11,000 points, enough for two and a half (ish) full sets of gear.

Next.

Your missing the main complaint completely. The honor being low inconjunction with new players coming from SOD and the balance of battlegrounds being completely unplayable is the issue. My hit is currently .03% in almost full pvp gear and my max damage hit is currently 3457 with an ilevel 390 2hander.

One of these issues existing isn’t the problem. ALL of them existing together is the problem

Yeah, and for those of us that suffer through the trenches of going 1-10 in bgs for the day, getting 35 honor per loss is crazy work.
