Current Gladiator

It would happen once and then all of a sudden your server pop would grow.

Yeah, then I’d have to push all the way up to 1730 to compete with the other fellow.

I like it at 2400 50 Wins so I can quit the season faster

They should make Gladiator % and retroactively take away the achievement and Mounts from those who got in BFA/SL.

Accelerationism baby lets go

They should lower it or at least put the mount at 1800 and put the title in 2400.

They tried something like this during Unchained.

lol exactly. its super bizarre. even worse when you realize the top 50 or so is usually the same handful of people that have been on this game for years and a large bulk of them have like 3x alt of the same class taking up spots

but go ahead ask for % glad back and watch arena die and become tbc classic tier where barely anyone gets r1, only like top 100 get glad in 3s, and q times are 8+ min a majority of the time cause every degenerately sits until last week to q.

but it gives me hard earned sense of eliticism to possess % based glad and look down on those 2400 glads who were in top 10k rank ie unchained season

I mean most people just want purpose for their existence. There is no monetary value for being good at wow pvp which is a mini game so they need self validation for more exclusive mount process.

I get it, your life revolves around the rank 1 push but no one cares.

It’s a game that holds sentimental value for many of us but one day we gotta grow up and let it go.

Casual wow is good for many as less time grinding and more time having fun in pvp is what we want. Dragonflight should help on the gearing but I don’t think percentage will.

I think there was like 75 R1 spots last season which means there would be 300 Gladiator/375 if you count the R1 Spots.

If there was 300 glad spots it would be the rank 1s and the Alts of r1. That doesn’t seem like a good precedent to set for casual wow.

I don’t imagine the Shadow Priests who play 20,000 games a season do it out of love.

HOW DO U KNOW IF HES BOOSTING THO?

HE COULD JSUT REALLY LOVE THE GAME AND QING WITH A RANDOM 3RD EVERYtime getting them their first time duelist/rival/challenger

also his account is fresh but that doesnt mean anything he could just be really good

This is a bit of an exaggeration

hm… i think the mount being 2400 +50 is good for participation, but i wish it didn’t have to sully % gladiator somehow.

there’s a massive gap between gladiator and rank 1 atm that needs to be solved, but taking away a system that’s been in placed for 2 expansions now could be damaging.

i can guarantee that many people would quit playing arenas if the bar was raised from 2400 to 2600 for the mount.

there’s also the random elite title that’s shoe-horned into 2400 (no wins) randomly. perhaps what could happen is at 2400 +50wins, you instead get the elite Xclass title plus the mount and at 2600, or even back to being % based, there’s an entirely new reward.

either way, we’re in too deep to remove the 2400 +50 mount

Not a big exaggeration though. Back in the day it was incredibly lucrative for people to get Gladiator on multiple characters/accounts for the purpose of selling the character/account.

I would imagine the same thing is being done with Rank 1 nowadays since Rank 1 is no longer limited to, quite literally, the rank 1 team.

Maybe like some tier glad system. Like Bronze glad, silver glad, gold glad, diamond glad, r1 glad. Thatd be cool, Obvioulsy dont have to be bronze, silver, gold but something like that with tiers

I can’t think of a time in Blizzard history they they ever made something less restrictive and then re-restricted it. If someone else can, please correct me.

Don’t expect Blizzard to rehash the reward structure at or above 2400 because, contrary to how some arena forums posters act, 2400 (and even 2100) or higher is an extremely small group of people in an already extremely small subset of the game’s content.

There probably wont be more rewards added to PVP between 2400 and rank 1 for the same reason we never see many appropriate balancing changes–because it doesn’t affect Blizzard’s middle-of-the-pack target audience.

LMFAO there was 525~ horde glads
(iirc it was like 2720cr or something maybe a little under/over)

and about 250-275 on alliance

though a real %line would be pushed higher if there was incentive and a cutoff to chase in the final two weeks so it’s not always accurate to say ā€œI wuz abuv .5 cutoff actually :P!!!ā€

2400/50 wins for mount.

Glad title = %.

At the end of the day, some people only q arena for the mount. While some only take pleasure in gate keeping others from thresholds, and then there’s a third group…
People who actually enjoy q’n arena.

In my humble opinion, those are the ones who deserve to receive a .5% title if they have the required skill to earn it.
