Curious as to what everyone’s holiday traditions are?

We tend to keep it simple - There’s a ham in the “big” fridge (that’ll be the garage - since it’s already wintry, everything stays pretty cold out there). Sometimes, we pop a store bought lasagna into the oven - which I’m opposed to, but I get outvoted. But it does make sense - making a lasagna is a bit of work for a holiday.

Speaking of wintry, it’s snowing. We’ve probably got an inch or so, heading up to at least four overnight - with the way it’s going though, it’ll be more.

And I gotta say - every time Cata Timewalking rolls around, I discover I’ve completely forgotten all the “tricks” that Stonecore has for unsuspecting parties. Oof.

We usually have our standard holiday meals. For Thanksgiving it’s Turkey, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Stuffing, Green Bean Casserole and Yams (not candied but with pineapple and brown sugar).

For Christmas we usually do a Honeybaked Ham, Scalloped Potatoes, Green Bean Casserole, and Yams.

Thanksgiving is the traditional Turkey with all the fixings, but we also have some type of pasta too.

Christmas dinner this year is a Maple Bourbon Spiral ham, fresh baked yams, sautéed cabbage with garlic and bacon, and home made apple sauce.

We usually do a smoked ham for Christmas. Hoping to be able to find a mess of mustard greens to go with it. Then probably just some rolls and potatoes of some sort. I’m not going to be much for helping this year. My big to-do was Thanksgiving and those 6 pumpkin cheesecakes.

Roast beast here (prime rib roast). Just had dental implant surgery tho, so delaying until I can eat it. Might be ok in time, but I’m a big wuss. Not a big holiday person tho, so which day the good food happens doesn’t matter.

We had a treat day at work today. Gotta be one of the best days at work other than bonus day. Some of the food people bring in is so good. Plus I love all the Philippine food that is brought in.
