Ah! I see it now. I do like fried pickles, but this flavor combo doesn’t really look appealing.
I would wager that is a pickle with a hot dog in it rolled in the batter they use for corn dogs. Then fried.
I actually like relish on my hot dogs. I like fried pickles. I have never had a corn dog. I would try that combo on a stick though, esp with one of the two dips. And I think you are right about what they might be.
Ugh, I swear, some people here act really entitled. Like, went down to the supermarket, and this person was listening to the conversation between me and my partner as we were talking about how we couldn’t travel to Romania this year for him to see his family. They approach us, and tell us we shouldn’t be shopping here because they don’t like people from overseas.
Like ugh… My partner and I am not going to travel some few thousands of kilometers just to shop for groceries because someone doesn’t like someone who isn’t from Australia. Anyways, so we’ve told the store manager, and well, the other person was asked to leave the store. And it was basically back and forth between them and the manager, basically claiming she shouldn’t have to leave but we should. Like, ugh, I just don’t get why some people have to act so entitled.
Happy winter’s veil, folk!
I hope you’re enjoying a roaring bonfire wherever you are. Even if you’re sans floofy tail.
This is just unfathomable to me! Like how can someone even think that is ok to do. What makes them think they have any say in who shops at a store?
I am so sorry that happened to you, and on Christmas even! Isn’t today supposed to be partly about kindness to travelers and strangers?
It is Boxing Day here. But regardless of day, shouldn’t be happening at all.
And speaking of which, Easter sales has started here.
I love fried pickles as well (spears > chips), but inside a corn dog does not sound appetizing.
Chipotle Ranch dip sounds good though.

Also, hugs to Ayukama - sorry that happened to you and your partner.
I feel like a thin sliver of it inside a corn dog could work, but the one in the picture is at least twice as much pickle as hot dog. I don’t think that proportion would be good to me.
The Doctor Who Christmas special was very good this year. Looking forward to the new season next year.
Half way thru it gota time travel and paradox give me headaches best advice janeway gave about time travelnis not to think about time travel.
/agreed
I think the only fried pickles I’ve had have been chips, but a fried pickle spear, or even a whole pickle, on a stick would be amazing.
… Aanndd now I have a craving for rouladen.
We used to have a restaurant in town that did fried pickle spears. They were soooo good. The spears hold in more juice than chips, so you got a nice little warm burst of pickle juice when you bit into one.
I have not been able to find any like those since.
Merry Christmas! Wishing everyone health, wealth, and wisdom for the New Year ahead.
It’s the same for me, but with coffee cakes. There used to be a place in Taft, CA that made old fashioned coffee cakes, and I haven’t been able to find a place that made them like that since the place closed over 20 years ago. They’d make me feel so nice and warm inside…WTB a real time machine so I could go back and enjoy them again.
Also, I guess I’m not farming Shenk in D2R anymore. I’ve now managed to replicate the particle effect crash ten times in a single night. The game’s allowing >two hundred thousand particles when it has hard limits of at most half that. How the developers can’t seem to fix this is beyond me. At least I got a Raven Frost before the latest crash sapped my desire to continue for the night. Still, I’m kinda miffed that a crash that’s been there for more than two years now hasn’t even been looked at by Blizzard. Sadly if it ain’t a continuous revenue maker, it seems bugs seldom, if ever, get fixed.
These are amusing. Last dude definitely got some karma.

I have a feeling that it’s going to be a long, slow, quiet day at work for the next couple days. It’s already slowed down quite a bit from our “busy season,” which usually runs from around the first of September to early December. And with the holiday in the middle of the week, so many people will be off work.
So I guess I’ll get working on tidying up the lounge, getting the coffee going, stoke the fire, etc. But no bacon today - we’re having sausage. Patties, not links.
It’s a foggy morning here. And since it’s hovering around freezing, the mist is freezing on the roads, so it’s super slick on the side streets and sidewalks.
That is very kind of you! Nothing like cuddling up by the fire in a nice clean lounge with hot coffee and a tasty snack.
/Puts out the hot water, assorted teas, cocoa, mulled cider, and toppings/creamers. Adds in some eggs and toast to go with the sausage - or make breakfast sandwiches! Sets down some fresh home made blueberry muffins with a topping of crunch sugar crystals.
