I’m sitting in my apartment with 105 F temps outside, any plant I had outside died from the heat. Thanks God my cat Butter’s knows that heat is bad and he comes inside to chills the the sun goes down.

ugh, I got my new graphics tablet, and I need an dp adapter to hook it up to my machine… delays, delays.
seen a few say this… and then just … fade away. 
hopefully we still get to see the Fez Monkey from time to time.

I am one payment away from completing a loan I took out for dental work. Also, I got my digital screen tablet, but can’t use it till Thursday because I need a DP to HDMI adapter for it. Plus I might be getting more video/design work in this week.

I really miss my truck right now. I’m getting stuff ready for a convention in November, and gonna carrying some things (sculpted gaming boards for a 4x6 table). It would be easier with a truck as a Nissan Altima can only tow 1000lbs (500lbs of that is the trailer).
So it’s looking like am gonna gonna be in the market for a used truck sometime this year. I need to get cracking on the jobs.

Heading to the UP tomorrow to check out houses. It’s getting real. On Sunday, my missus and I celebrated meeting 30 yrs ago. In other news, I turned down the doctorate. Time to get that new life started.

It does seem like forever Mer. What maybe 10 years ago? This is a different gnome priest, but Healeigh is still around and she vehemently denies any such change. She says she was born a gnome and knows nothing about that human.

In other news, a thread on GD about laptops matched up with my need for a new one. My current is 9.5 years old and despite cleaning, is starting to freeze now anytime the fans kick in. Daily use for almost 9 years at 10+ hours a day. Pretty good value for money spent.
I took a suggestion in that GD thread. My new laptop arrives today. It will be able to play Dragonflight and hopefully other games for a long time to come. Yikes. Change is scary.

I like that I can upgrade the RAM later and that I can add more drives. My current is an Alienware from 2013 - and the modern comparisons don’t let me do any upgrade work on them and they are VERY expensive. Fingers crossed my decisions was wise.
Now, to spend the day sitting by my door.

That’s the worst. Packages have random spawn-timers.

I had packages labeled out for delivery on Friday and on Sunday on the company’s tracking page. Delivery of them got impacted by the Rogers outage (delivery company’s communication was through them). They finally arrived on Tuesday. I spent the weekend spawn-camping between the door and the webpage.

I did the same when I got my gaming laptop. Had a bunch of other stuff coming in that day, too. Package randomly shows delivered. Got the shoes, laptop bag, and other items. But no laptop. Called Customer support, they said “wait three days before filing a claim.” For a $1250 laptop? Uh, no. The Amazon driver is still in my complex. Call them, send them a message, etc. Instead, they sent me on a hunt through my building. Sure enough, I found it at another address. They’re pretty cavalier about missing items.
I still use that laptop. It’s a bit slower, but it still does the job.

Oh no. I am glad you finally got things.
I am prepared for it though. Coffee made, cats fed, gardens taken care of. Core chores done. Fingers crossed nothing goes wrong. I have to sign for the package so I really can’t go anywhere.
Hoping the random spawn generator is in my favor today.
