It’s cold, it’s snowy, it’s chicken soup day!

Chicken Pot Pie for dinner tonight. Chicken currently on the stove boiling now so the bones can be stripped.

Do you cook extra chicken for the taste test, one for the pot one for me? Especially the tasty juicy bits.

Lol no. I am not cooking tonight. If I were it would taste much better as the chicken would be seasoned while it cooked more than a bullion cube.

However if I were, absolutely. I like to munch on what I cook.

Have you ever tried Minors? It’s the best beef, chicken base ever. It gives everything a boost. It’s my secret recipe.

OK I would like your opinions on this. … My work advised me last Friday that we will be strictly from home workforce. AND we do not need to be near the office any longer. I live in a poorly run VERY expensive state (California). I was thinking of moving but I have no idea which state to move to. My 5 choices were Montana, Idaho, Nevada, Utah or Wyoming.

Anyone from those states? Which would you prefer?

Move to canada.

Ohhhh nonono no no… I love Cody, WY but It’s still pretty expensive there.

Well, Canada is a big, and very diverse, place.
Calgary and Toronto are no more the same than Kansas City and Boston are.

If they’re trying to find a less expensive place than California many options exist in both Canada and the US.

If you speak French, Sherbrooke, or a bit more expensive but English friendly, Thunder Bay.

But just saying “Canada” doesn’t necessarily help, Vancouver is in Canada, and much as I like the place, I know I couldn’t afford to live there. I mean I actually like San Francisco (never liked LA; first impressions and all that) but not being wealthy I think western New York works best for me. Rochester is a lot less expensive to live in than Toronto, let alone Vancouver.

By the way, when remote work is part of the consideration, don’t forget to check out the internet connection options as well as amenities and cost. These also can be very different from one location to another.

I would go Nevada out of all of those. Even around the Vegas area it is much cheaper to live than California…other than gas prices being nearly identical. Not to mention they don’t have a state income tax so you earn more money.

I’ve been through parts of all those states, except for Nevada (I’ve been in Nevada, but barely). They’re all beautiful. Couldn’t tell you much about the living experience, but one thing to think about (if it matters to you) - they’re all definitely NOT California on the political spectrum.

Another thing to consider is where your work has locations. You’re going to have to pay income taxes for the state your work is located and the state you live in. So if the company you work for has a presence in any of those states, choose based on that.

Personally, I’d pick Idaho, just for the mountains and snow, or maybe Eastern Utah.

Of the states he listed, only Nevada and Wyoming don’t have a state income tax. Nevada would have better internet capabilities and infrastructure already in place.

If you like melting… >.>

I actually love it. You can choose what zone to go to when, and it’s just a case of world quests, side quests and rares to level. I’m actually regretting not choosing to use it on Kittin.

You can choose Threads of Fate at any time (prior to completing the entire storyline), even if you previously opted to level via the storyline on an alt.

You can always go back and choose it as long as you haven’t finished the storyline.

Oooooooh! Do you know who I talk to? (I mean, I can google, but I figure asking here can’t hurt)

Fatescribe Roh-Tahl. Eastern “balcony” of Oribos.
