Rise of the Resistance…was… awesome
What makes a good baker the knead to rise early.
i like to thank the following:
my legs for supporting me.
my arms for always being by my side.
my fingers, i could always count on them.
and sidewalks…for keeping me off the streets for the past 40 years now.
You don’t want to sink too low.
i’ve got some puns about unemployed people…but none of them work.
if a child refuses to take a nap…does that mean they’re resisting a rest?
AAAAAAAAGH!
No, it’s not a complete sentence. Thank you, computer, I’m aware.
Breaking News: My back started feeling much better last night for some unknown reason. Party is being planned. You’re all invited. Have a good weekend.
Doh I think I found your back pain. Gonna motrin load today and hope it feels better. Itnis the weather. I know the cause. Doesn’t make it hurt any less though.
I’ll bring the
Happy Saturday everyone.
It’s a bright shiny new day
I’m reaching out to you peeps for a suggestion. The music on the radio in the Twin Cities leaves much to be desired. For the last few years, we’ve spent time on the road with a singular intent in mind… listen to the local radio stations. It’s utterly fascinating and entertaining finding those little morsels.
So gang, what’s a radio station that you listen to? (We are trying to avoid any iHeart and big company stuffs) Ms. Becky, I’ll be listening to over easy tomorrow (It’d have been now but they changed the format years ago ). We like the classic rock but appreciate deep cuts and avoid heavy rotations.
Any thoughts?
Here are a few we saved.
- WMGK in Philadelphia
- KYSC in Alaska
- KLIZ in Brainard
- WFNK in Maine
The local station is a iHeart Radio, so I generally don’t listen to it. At home, I have a linux laptop setup as a clock/radio and I listen to Pandora. When driving I don’t listen to anything unless I can pick up Austin KLBJ 93.7 (Providing people stop stealing my truck antenna).
Have you tried WKRP in Cincinnati?
I am king of the puns
Edit to say the rock station j listen to is an ihearr one now. But it wasn’t and is the same as when it became one lol
Yes, go Johnny Fever!
We’ve recently listened to the Austin area TT. Nothing really stood out.
Mast… we’re taking your suggestion into account. We’ve pulled up WOFX in Cincinnati to try. We usually give it a couple hours before turning the station. Seems to be morning chat now.
To try for the Love Rocket or not to try for the Love Rocket…
Ok, WOFX is not as funny as they think.
WMWX in Cincinnati is on with some decent tunes (for now). Edit: all Beetles all day… Back to WOFX and the chatter is off. Music and farming… whee!
Arya, will you be counting down the days over the next year if you don’t try? A single attempt is all you need…
I’ll probably do a run on all my eligible characters. I am also wanting Peddlefeet’s Lovely Hearthstone, so I hope to be able to work on that, too.
Good luck in your hunt for a good radio station. I rarely listen to them anymore. Pretty much everything here is now part of a big company. Or has gone downhill in quality. My once beloved radio station has become something I haven’t listened to in a decade. Constantly repeating the same songs and DJs that just aren’t engaging to me.
Did the event start?
I need a daily dose of disappointment after all. Well when I get home from work that is.
Not yet, I think? Lemme go check. Nothing on the launcher about it being live.
Edit: It’s live. The SW guards are all perfumed up when I logged in.
Found a really cool station in Philly (another one there), WXPN. Even some deep cuts from Talking Heads.
Time for more resources
