Cause…you are.
“Part of the ship. Part of the crew”
when I get a minute i will
Tell her I say hullo
I can predict her answering mrrts, so I’m sending them over to you now!
I will absolutely give her your greetings and affection, though.
The good news - it is (as suspected) anemia. The bad news - it is severe enough they had me do an iron infusion and were even talking blood transfusion possibility. I avoided the latter, but have several weeks of heading to the chemo/infusion lab for iron infusions.
Fun fact, while the iron is being infused, it causes a taste/smell kind of like maple syrup. So odd.
Other good news - little grandson is strong and healthy, so much so he’s only two weeks and when placed down on his tummy, he pushes and squirms and rolls over, or lifts his head and upper body some. Strong tyke.
As I suspected! You’re really a vampire!
Definitely stay out of the sun and sleep during the day. You’ll feel better in no time!
Hopefully NOT the sparkly kind. I’ll happily take the eternal life, sleep all day, diagnosis.
I’m getting an itch to resubscribe to play one of the new races. The only thing holding me back is the months of work I have to put in playing a character I have no interest in to unlock them. Anyone else in this position?
Probably a fair few. But there’s no shortcut to getting the same thing everyone else has without doing the same amount of work to get it.

Yeah I know, I just wish I could just no-life it in a couple of days because I really only have time to play on the weekends. Instead they’re all time gated behind daily quests so it’s going to take me forever to get them.
The races that were unlocked on Tuesday don’t have anything time-gated, to my knowledge. Not anymore.
Thankfully, I don’t have much left to do, at least for the Alliance side. My hordie isn’t even 120 though lol.
Technically, I am Hordeside. I’m tempted to faction change my mage to Nightborne, but I’d need to do the unlock scenario, and that means that I’d either have to boost a Horde character, faction change another character, or faction change and then subsequently race change my mage.
I haven’t used my free boost yet, so I may still end up doing that, but otherwise it’s not worth it for me.
When I was told to go get two units of Packed red cells, (several years ago) I did it.
At shift change I overheard the nurse leaving telling the nurse coming in the numbers (that mean nothing to me) and the incoming nurse said, “did he actually walk in on his own”? I admit, having worked in a nursing home, I put more faith in what the nurses and techs say between themselves than in what the doctor tells me.
Bottom line is that, although I didn’t think I was actually that bad off when I came in; I couldn’t believe how much more energy I had, how much easier things seemed, or how much better I felt than just hours ago before the transfusion.
Really? I checked WoWhead and this is a direct quote: “…may take several weeks to obtain, as you can only earn a limited amount of reputation per time with World Quests and Emissaries.” refering to unlocking either Kul Tiran or Zandalari. It sounds like more time gated non-sense to me.
Reputations aside, since they’ve always been the grindiest part, I find time-gating is generally referred to as something that you have to wait a week or more to do after completing the previous step.
Like the attunements and such from the end of Legion.
Reputations are just regular grinds, IMO. But that’s going to be how it is for any game with similar restrictions, I think.
If recall, if you do the Loremaster for Kul’Tiran or Zandalari, you get to revered easily. Not time gated, but rep gated.
Is there a way to continuously gain rep with them at any time? Or is there only a certain amount of quests/missions you can do per day? If it is the later, than it’s time gated.
WoW is the only MMO game I’ve known that employs this system.
Contracts. Contingent on completing other rep-awarding world quests.
