I get paid for eight hours tonight while only working seven. It will also be my Friday.
Today, my Thursday, has turned from a nine to ten hour shift into a twelve. My bosses bus broke down. Stranding him till the replacement arrives at my twelve hours point. So screw it he says.

Ugh. Don’t remind me. Losing that hour of sleep on weekend doubles is brutal. Add in the fact I feel like an elephant is sitting on my chest? Not looking forward to it.

Sometimes the only choice is between bad ones. More bad car karma. I need to have both CV axles replaced. ( And motor mounts) But the CVs are more important. They want almost $500. $100 an hour labor is VERY common in my area. Yay…
My son is pushing me to use a Mobile mechanic and buy the parts myself. I can get the parts for $50 cheaper. But… which mobile mechanic? How much time to invest? And what happens if they do it wrong? What happens if it breaks or falls apart? Most don’t give warranties or guarantees.
I got friends who “I know a guy”. Same thing. Plus most of them will want to do it on a weekend. I work Friday through Tuesday. And go in at 3pm.

The motor mounts? I don’t know. I simply don’t have it. They want 2 arms and 3 legs, plus both kidneys.

Full disclosure: I’m not a companion/battle pet completist by any means, but if you were perhaps it would be a consideration.
Second full disclosure: I’m no good at languages that aren’t English, so I had to look up how to spell n’est-ce pas , having lived over four years in Germany I can’t even converse in German, and French is even beyond Gallic (I know a few words because my paternal great uncles still spoke it) when it comes to trying to sus out how things are spelled.
