So much for outlaws stupid hallowfall.
Outlaws that bad?
May be a hot take, but I sooooooorely dislike having to move to other zones and complete a certain percentage of quests or missions before I can go back to previous zones and finish the previous zone.
So much for Sojourner of Isle of Dorn before stepping foot in The Ringing Deeps.
What little Iâve played so far has been excellent, and a lot of comments on Twitter and reviewer narratives seem to echo the sentiment. Of course thereâs going to be the oddball opposite opinion here and there, but thatâs common for all games. Largely the reception has been quite favorable.
This sounds exactly like the sort of thing my mom wouldâve done.
I need to hire one, itâs really overwhelming to maintain a house + being a caretaker all by myself.
That sounds like a very good idea Stormfury. Even if it is someone to come in once every two weeks to deep clean for you that would be super helpful. Then you only have to keep things picked up and do the basics like dishes, sweep the kitchen floor, etc. Someone else can do the tub scrubbing, floor mopping, 100% vacuuming, dusting, fan blades, and baseboards!
Yeah, I just get sooo overwhelmed. Iâm trying to keep up the best I can. Right now waiting for the VA to determine my rating, should know something next week. I found a nice cleaning lady, she gave me her card, and she has a crew. Costs about $450 twice a month. She has to come over to evaluate the house, of course. Dad is all for it, so heâs offered to pay for half.
That is a lot of money! Like she charges $450 each time she cleans???
I enjoy cleaning my house. It is an anxiety reducer for me. When everything else feels chaotic I can spend that anxious energy on the controlling and keeping order in the one place I have (mostly) total control over. Life may suck, but my Kitchen is clean and the fridge organized darn it!
Hope you do find someone who can handle what you need so that you can focus on caregiving and on yourself. Not everyone enjoys doing cleaning and that kind of burden can contribute to depression and burnout.
In other news, I was cleaning the cat tree today and found a tooth! Willow lost a canine to tooth decay I guess. It just broke off. Likely when she and her sister were tussling today. She badly needs a dental and likely needs teeth pulled. $$$$ though
No, that for the month total.
I miss my void kitty Bellatrix.
100$ but its worth it and no i havent touched outlaws because i was catching up on shows and one thing led to another.
That still seems really really high. You might want to get several estimates. Even with company insurance, some overhead, transportation, and equipment/supplies that is a lot.
Do the math and donât get ripped off please. At $20 an hour labor - that is 22.5 hours of labor. That would be two people cleaning for 5 hours each time twice a month with $50 left over for transportation and supplies.
alright!
They may also offer you an initial deep clean of the house that takes all day - which usually IS expensive but worth it. Then the bi-weekly upkeep is usually pretty reasonable.
I have not personally had someone in my house, but had to deal with contractors for work.
Mirasol, I still wish I could hire you; sounds like you would be an incredible help in cleaning and organizing my dog house.
Um, thanks I think?
Todayâs project mostly done as far as the home repair/improvement side goes. Decided to empty my closet which has a âsecretâ door into a half attic space. Wanted to caulk the cracks in the stucco, paint it, paint the trim, etc. Did that! The floor is wood planks but they were not the height of the main floor, nor as low as the sub floor. What? Was looking carefully and in the light I realized they were stamped with the name of a cedar company in Alabama! Woot! I have cedar flooring in my closet! It is now sanded back down to fresh wood and smells fantastic. Closet is also vacuumed, dusted, and ready to put things back into.
I did not paint the portal to the mini attic thoughâŚit is still the original 1948 wood along with some old wood filler. I donât want to paint it white or it will be easy to miss + it needs some trim boards. I guess that can be a later project.
The organization part of the closet is now ready to start which should be interesting. I need to remove the work clothes from 10 years ago, rotate in my actual things I wear regularly.
Then I can do the other closets later. The house only had 4 original closets. One in each bedroom and a linen cupboard in the bathroom. Someone turned the downstairs bathroom tub area into a closet as well for cleaning supplies, pantry overflow, kitchen appliances, etc.
This is what I do on days I canât get outside to paint or do yard work I guess.
I call my house a dog house cause I is designed around our dogs, and there is fur everywhere.
I donât have a good solution for that. I have 3 cats, and with 2 being long hair there are dust bunnies that attack us a lot. I canât use a robot vac because hairballs and things. So yeah. I just have to keep up on the cleaning.
Best advice is to keep the house as clutter free as possible so that it is easy to vacuum and dust. Make sure everything is washable. Rubber cleaning gloves make great tools for cleaning hair out of fabrics. Just put your hand flat and run it across the fabric that does not come clean easily. I did my curtains where the cats sit just the other day.
Iâll wager you had/have a cedar closet. Theyâre used to store natural fabric clothing, since cedar serves as a natural insect repellent. If the walls are plastered or drywalled, think about removing a small patch of it to see whatâs underneath (youâll be able to patch it over with drywall repair or something similar).
Should look at a dog brush that can catch the fur before it goes all over the place. Not a full solution, but should work.
Well i just learnt that warbands affect ur achievement points i know i have more then whats showing but im the warband so theres that.
